Three Days Later: June 12, 2023: On Hoenn Island
Charlie and Gardevoir sat in the living room watching ‘The Pikachu Tales’ on Channel Two. Charlie was sitting in the recliner, while Gardevoir sat on the floor with her back leaning against the front of the couch.
“Man, I love this show!” Gardevoir said
“Me too! Say, that was a pretty cool day we had three days ago, I still can’t stop thinking about all the events of that day!” Charlie said.
Just then, the clock on the wall struck one.
“We haven’t had lunch yet! Let’s make some grilled cheese sandwiches. You’re okay with having that for lunch, right?” Charlie asked
“Sure!” Gardevoir answered
“Can I make them?” Gardevoir asked Charlie.
“Sure! I was going to make them for you, but if you want to, go right ahead!” was Charlie’s response.
So Gardevoir stood up and started walking toward the kitchen. Charlie stayed in the recliner and watched the closing credits roll on the episode of ‘The Pikachu Tales’ they were watching.
“Charlie!” Gardevoir yelled from the kitchen.
Charlie got up from the recliner and walked toward the kitchen.
“What’s wrong, Gardevoir?” Charlie asked when he got to the kitchen.
“We are out of bread and cheese!” Gardevoir said with a frown.
“Well, let’s go to the Pokemart and get some more!” Charlie said.
“Okay!” Gardevoir responded
So they walked out the front door and started heading for the local Pokemart. It took them seventeen minutes to walk there. They got into the store and immediately headed for the bread aisle. Gardevoir grabbed two loaves of bread.
Then, they went to the dairy section and got three packs of cheese. Just after Charlie grabbed the cheese, he began to speak to Gardevoir.
“Alright, we’re gonna checkout, then we can head home and have lunch!” Charlie said
“Great, sounds good!” Gardevoir said
They began heading toward the front of the Pokemart where the registers are. They were about forty feet away when a commotion caused them to turn their heads.
“Stop!” a store attendant yelled.
“Theif!” another store attendant hollered.
Then, Charlie and Gardevoir could see a man running for the exit with a pair of watches and a cell phone in his arms.
“I’ve got this!” Gardevoir yelled when the man reached the door.
Gardevoir chased the man outside, where she grew to twenty feet tall. The thief did not know anyone was behind him at the moment. Charlie had been trailing behind Gardevoir.
“Don’t do anything too rash, Gardevoir!” Charlie said.
“It’s okay, I said I’ve got this!” Gardevoir reassured Charlie.
At that moment, the man turned around because he heard Charlie and Gardevoir talking behind him. He stopped in his tracks when he saw the twenty-foot Gardevoir behind him.
“H-hey, let’s not get too irrational here!” the man said, nervously chuckling. He was also slowly backing away from Gardevoir.
“Here’s what I’m going to do. You go back and either return or pay for those watches and the cell phone, and I won’t pick you up and carry you to the police station.” Gradevoir explained with a glare on her face.
So the man walked back to the Pokemart with Charlie and Gardevoir still in her twenty-foot state right behind him. They got back to the Pokemart in less than four minutes.
“Sorry for taking your merchandise, here are the watches and the cell phone back.” the man said to the store attendant waiting outside the entrance. After he handed the items to the attendant, he began to run back down the path. Gardevoir returned to her normal size.
“Thank you! You don’t know how much help that was!” the attendant said.
“Oh, you’re welcome!” Gardevoir said.
“I’ve still got to pay for the bread and cheese! Let me do that real quick.” Charlie said heading for the entrance.
“No, keep it, this is on the house, you did just recover our stolen merchandise after all!” the attendant said.
“Thank you!” Charlie said in disbelief.
“No, thank you.” the attendant said.
After this transaction, Charlie and Gardevoir began the seventeen-minute walk back home.
