The Following Morning: June 9, 2023: On Hoenn Island
Wyatt awoke to two sleeping Pokemon on top of him. He chuckled softly and decided to just lay still in bed and wait for them to wake up. It didn’t take long though, for first Sylveon, then Pikachu woke up in about fifteen minutes.
“Oh, good morning you two. I assume you slept well, you found my stomach to be a comfortable spot to lay.” Wyatt said, smiling.
“Well, I felt safer with you, and though Pikachu will never admit it, he felt safer with you too,” Sylveon said
“Okay, okay. But it was survival instincts kicking in.” Pikachu said stubbornly.
“Sure, it was, Pikachu,” Sylveon said, smiling wide.
Wyatt laughed.
“Let's go downstairs, it’s like 10:00, and Charlie and Gardevoir are probably awake already,” Wyatt said.
“Alright, let’s go!” said Sylveon
“First, let me examine the bite mark on Pikachu, make sure it is healing like Nurse Joy said it would,” Wyatt said
The bite mark had already halfway faded away.
“Well, it’s healing at about exactly the pace Nurse Joy said it would! Let’s go downstairs now.” Wyatt said
“Okay!” Sylveon said as she jumped into Wyatt’s arms. Pikachu chose to walk down beside Wyatt.
When they got downstairs, they saw Charlie sitting in the recliner, talking on the phone. Gardevoir was sitting on the couch and watching reruns of ‘The Andle Griffin Show’ on the television.
Wyatt sat down on the couch beside Gardevoir, while Sylveon sat in his lap and Pikachu sat on the armrest, leaning on Wyatt. Gardevoir waved. Wyatt, Pikachu, and Eevee waved back. They sat there for about two minutes, quietly waiting on Charlie to finish his phone call. Charlie then hung up the phone.
“Good morning, Wyatt! And good morning to Sylveon and Pikachu!” Charlie said,
“Good morning to you, too!” Sylveon said,
“What are you watching, Gardevoir?” Pikachu asked,
“Oh, I’m just watching some of ‘The Andle Griffin Show’ right now. I trust you three slept well?” Gardevoir answered,
“I speak for both me and Sylveon when I say, we slept great!” Pikachu answered,
“You got that right!” Sylveon agreed
“I slept fine. Sylveon and Pikachu must have decided they liked my bed better, for when I woke up, they were sleeping on top of me!” Wyatt said, smiling.
“Well then, I guess you don’t need to buy small beds for them for your house, do you?” Charlie asked
“I guess not!” responded Wyatt, smiling.
“Well, that’s pretty funny!” Gardevoir said, also smiling.
“Who was that you were on the phone with just a second ago, Charlie?” asked Sylveon
“Oh, that was my parents. They’re going to be over in about ten minutes so they can visit.” Charlie answered
“Oh, that’s great! I had fun talking with them last time.” Gardevoir said
“Same here! And I can introduce Sylveon and Pikachu!” Wyatt said,
“Oh, Gardevoir, you said yesterday that when we got back to Charlie’s house, you would prove to me you could change size, but with all the commotion with Pikachu getting bit by that Rattata, we seem to have forgotten all about it!” Sylveon said,
