The Day After: June 6, 2023: On Kanto Island
It was about quarter till ten in the morning when Charlie and Gardevoir woke up.
“Good morning, Charlie!” Gardevoir said,
“Good morning, Gardevoir!” Charlie said, smiling.
“Are we going to walk the beaches today?” Gardevoir asked with a hopeful grin on her face.
“Yeah. However, I don’t think it will be the funnest part of the trip.” Charlie said
“What is it? Is it going to happen tomorrow on the last day of the trip?” Gardevoir asked curiously.
“How about this, I’ll tell you what it is at five o'clock.” Charlie said
“Okay. Can we walk the beaches now?” Gardevoir asked,
“Well, let’s get breakfast while we still can, then we’ll go walk the beaches.” Charlie said
“Okay.” Gardevoir said
So they left their room and walked down the hall to the elevator. They rode it down to the second floor where the breakfast hall was. They ate breakfast and finished right as the breakfast hall closed at eleven.
“Are we going to walk the beaches now?” Gardevoir asked as they walked out of the breakfast hall
“Yes, let’s go!” Charlie answered.
So they went to the nearest beach. Charlie set up a folding chair and sat while Gardevoir ran in the sand.
They did that for about two hours before they decided to go eat lunch. They went to a seafood restaurant and got there at about half past one.
Charlie ordered a big plate of popcorn shrimp for them to split because that had always been his favorite thing to order at a seafood restaurant ever since he had tried it for the first time when he was three years old.
After they were finished, they paid and left the restaurant. They walked back to the hotel and got back into the hotel. It was quarter till three when they got back
“Are you going to tell me what the funnest part of the trip is now?” Gardevoir asked
Charlie answered,
“Well, I did say I was going to tell you at five, but I guess I can tell you now. At six o’clock, we’re going to go to see ‘Big Money Wheel’ live at six today.” Charlie said
“Really?” Gardevoir said extremely excitedly, also growing three feet.
“Ow. I’m not used to eight-foot ceilings.” Gardevoir said as she hit her head on the ceiling
“Well, I’m certainly not lying to you. We’ll leave at quarter after five so we can get there and in the studio and sit down by the time taping starts at six.” Charlie said,
“I can’t wait!” Gardevoir said.
