Not really a chapter

So last chapter I mentioned how I got hooked on a new book. Here's the reveal of what trash I usually read, with little comments from me.

There will be spoilers.

So that's the description on the book's cover.

Basically it's about this "human" girl who has abilities to kinda see a bit of people's future.

There's fae in this world and if you don't know what they are google it.

Anyways she meets this fae dude who's in trouble and she saves him or whatever. Turns out he's a hyborn which basically means he's ultra powerful.

Also he has magical genitalia.

Moving on: Calista continues on with her life after, and is ordered to keep a visiting prince company as he looks into some suspicious things happening nearby

Turns out it's our hyborn dude.

Btw his name is Thorne or some shit.

Time goes by and the two grow close (wink wink), then an attack happens or something.

It's some other prince dude who reveals Calista isn't some measly mortal after all (insert sarcastic gasp of surprise)

Instead she's an unbound fae or something (honestly I forgot what they call it) but basically it means they're taking her to the king so she can have his babies or whatever.

So they take her away and say they have to keep her safe from people until she reaches the palace.

And she's all like: but wait where's Thorne? I'm confused about why I can't have his babies

And they're all like: Oh actually he's an assassin sent to kill unbound people.

So yeah.

He's actually evil or something and is trying to kill her. But because everyone thought she was human, he just didn't know his target was her.

Then he pops out of nowhere and is like: Grrrrr I found you

And that's the end.

AND I HAVE TO WAIT FOR THE NEXT ONE TO COME OUT

At one point, he showed up at her bedroom, and this is an expert from the book:

"The door swung open and he stood there, legs planted wide and shoulders squared, hair swept back from his striking features and knotted. The armor still shielding his chest. He looked like a warrior, and one thing was clear.

Prince Thorne had come to conquer."

I laughed so hard.

Anyways, 10/10. It had it's flaws, and I loved it for it. Thorne wasn't as annoying as I thought he'd be, and the plot was decent. The world building was pretty good too.

As cringy as some parts were (see example above) the writing was fantastic and I have to saw I love this author. She's fabulous and I adore her stiff.

Except the vampire one.

That one was... bad, but I'll save that for my next review. (I'm joking, there won't be a next one unless people actually want to read my nonsense)

Why did I love it so much?

Because I have horrible taste in women, men, and literature.
