Author's Note Real Quick!!!
I hate doing Author Notes in the beginning, or at all lol- but I need to tell you that this chapter alone will have a lot of time jumps in it simply for the fact writing single Helen chapters without Max or anyone from the original show is more on the insignificant side of things due to it's literally just going to be doctor patient things we see. I will BOLD the dates(months) out for us and give brief snip it's- but to keep this story moving in a Sharpwin positive directions- bear with me with the time jumps please. Love yinz and hope the start to your new year is better than how NBC left us with Sharpwin. Haha

(Also quick note to differ from the show- I am going to skip the COVID 19 Era because we have lived through that enough with all the bad times- so in my perfect fanfic world- no Covid)

MAY 13th 2020

Sitting in my office at Hawthorne- which I must say is as dullard as I left it how many years ago- I look over the current dilemmas of the day.

Leaving in January was horrible. Max and I had very little time to say goodbye before I had to be whisked away for shipping and my flight- while Max had to go to the Dam and deal with a crisis in the ICU regarding a fire being set by someone, who quite literally blew the side of the building off.

It wasn't ideal, but it was all that could be done.

February boasted nothing but stress and boredom thanks to Hawthorne trying to lay the ground work for me. Re-instructing me on certain Britain practices I care not much for.

Although the highlight was a video call from Max on Valentine's Day where he and Luna looked so cute as they were going to a fundraising event the Dam was hosting.

Max even had the local baker here send me a box of premium croissants and a small bouquet of flowers- which were simply lovely.

March to no one's surprise was just as boring as all the other days I've been here.

April as well only proved to be bothersome as my staff has begun to slowly detest how I try to run things here.

The whole act like Max and flip things upside down, doesn't necessarily work in Britain.

No there are far more constraints and rules and advisors that's keep me under their thumb constantly.

And on the oncologist front- teaching the residency students is just as awful.

They find my techniques out of date and too intrusive- which they are not. In fact they are fairly docile compared to many other oncologists.

Now that we're in May, I am having a harder time with my own self.

Though the medication Iggy and Penny have prescribed me seems to be helping the depression and delusions- I am regrettably worse for ware.

"Um...Dr. Sharpe?" My secretary Andrea- a lovely Scottish woman with beautiful raven hair and piercing blue eyes- pokes her head into my office as I'm trying to sort things.
