Prologue

Yoon Chae-rin is the eldest daughter of Yoon Beom-seok, a successful and feared man in the underground drug business of Daegu.

Starting in the early 1940s, Beom-seok was quick to expand from his little drug dealing to an empire. Now in 1990, almost fifty years later, Beom-seok is finally ready to pass down his empire and power to his eldest offspring.

Chae-rin, who liked to be called Chae, on the other hand never wanted to step foot into her father's business. In her 29 years of living she witnessed too much brutality and merciless acts.

She didn't associate with that lifestyle, let alone running such an Organisation and ordering those acts of violence.

In addition to that, she was almost in her thirties. She wanted a peaceful life, to get married to her longtime partner and to have a beautiful family with him.

But being born into a family of this kind, doesn't include a lifestyle like that.
