GLEN'S POV
Being out and about when you are training to be an aviator wasn't ideal but crucial to blow off some steam. Maverick was drilling us hard and especially after I caught her heated quarrel with Tom. She hasn't spoken to any of us since, if it hasn't been work related. I tried not to put too much weight on it because it wasn't my problem and it still made me think. I know she had to drill us hard because we didn't have much time but the look on her face is actually really concerning, she doesn't look like she is off her game, she just looks numb, stiff, blank. Like all of her emotions were sucked out. I saw her at the gym this morning, I've never seen anyone push themself so hard.
"What's on your mind, Glen?" Monica asked as she took a sip out of her drink.
"Nothing, just thinking." I said with a small smile. I know Monica got a little close to Maverick but that seems to have drifted away after our first flight.
"Look who the cat dragged in." I said with a wide smile as Miles walked into the bar.
"That moustache actually starts to look good on you." I said as he sat down.
"Are you hitting on me?" He asked and everyone chuckled.
"I knew it, I knew you were on the other side." He added and everyone chuckled again.
"Where've you been?" Greg asked.
"My parents called, haven't spoken to them in a while so we were just catching up." He said.
"That's sweet." Monica said and took another sip of her drink.
"I'm gonna get myself a drink, anyone want anything?" He asked.
"I'll have another beer." I said and he gave me thumbs up before walking over to the bar counter.
"That's a first." I said and gestured to the door and everyone turned around to see Tom walking in with one of the producers, the director, the Chief of Navy and the Chief of Top Gun. They gave us a small wave and we waved back.
