LINA'S POV
"Honey, you look beautiful." Miles said as I looked myself in the mirror once again.
"I just want to look nice." I said and he smiled softly. He took my hand and twirled me around so I faced him.
"My family will love you." He said and kissed me softly.
"I'm not used to meeting anyone's family." I said and he smiled softly.
"They are gonna love you, I promise. You have nothing to worry about." He said and kissed my cheek. We walked into the kitchen and I took out the charcuterie board out to the coffee table. Nevada was serving us with some cold weather and snow so Miles lit a fire in the fireplace and I put on some cozy jazz on the speakers. I stirred around in the chicken curry stew that we were going to have for dinner. Miles came over and hugged me from behind as we swayed to the music.
"I love you so much." He said and kissed the side of my neck.
"I got you your favourite wine." He said and I turned my head and looked at him.
"What?" I asked.
"You didn't have to do that." I said and he smiled softly.
"I wanted to." He said and opened the fridge and got out my favourite Riesling and I smiled.
"Thank you, honey." I said and kissed him softly and we heard the doorbell ring. As Miles went to open the door, I opened the bottle of wine. They cheered happily as he opened the door. He hadn't seen his family in months.
"Mom, looking lovely as ever." He said and hugged his mom.
"Dad, great to see you." He said and gave his dad a hug as well.
"My favourite sisters." He said happily and hugged both of his sisters.
"Come on in." He said and let them in and closed the door behind him.
