"She's grounded from flying?" Tom asked and I nodded as we looked over at Lina who was playing with Rooster on the lawn. I flipped the steaks on the barbecue and he let out a sigh.
"How is she taking it?" He asked.
"She's bored and restless." I said and he nodded.
"She knew it would happen eventually but I guess she thought she had a few more weeks." I said.
"Me too." He said.
"I need to ask a favour, Tom." I said and he looked over at me with a concerned look.
"No one knows it yet, but I'm going to London to film a movie in March." I said.
"She is totally on board with it and she wants me to do it, probably more than me. She wants to be supportive." I said and he nodded.
"But you're worried." He said and I nodded.
"We all know her, she is going to be the best mom in the world but I'm worried she is going to be you know, depressed, because she can't work and I won't be around." I said and he nodded.
"I'll be here." He said and I looked over at him.
"Really?" I asked and he nodded as he took a sip out of his beer.
"Of course, me and Suri can live here with her when you are away, help out with the baby." He said.
"Thank you, I would really really appreciate it." I said and he smiled softly.
"She's my daughter, you're my son-in-law and that's my grandson, of course we'll be here." He said and I smiled lightly.
"Thank you, I know it's a lot to ask and I would've asked my parents but Lina and mom still don't get along very well." I said and he let out a sigh.
"She still doesn't approve of her?" He asked and I nodded.
"Yeah, she doesn't cave." I said.
"Must be rough on you both." He said and I nodded.
