LINA'S POV
"Lina!" Miles shouted happily and ran into the kitchen.
"We won the bidding!" He shouted and my eyes widened.
"What!?" I exclaimed and he picked me up and spun me around.
"We won the house!" He shouted happily and I laughed and he put me down and kissed me roughly.
"We own a house!" He said happily.
"What is all this fuss about? Why are you shouting?" Dad asked as he came in from the patio.
"We got the house!" I said happily and his eyes widened.
"You got the house?!" He asked surprisingly and we nodded and he came over and hugged us both.
"Congratulations!" He said happily.
"This cause for celebration." He said and went over to the fridge and grabbed a bottle of Prosecco and popped it open.
I couldn't believe it, we actually got it. We lowballed our offer as shit. Dad poured up the Prosecco and we toasted that we were now house owners. Miles put his arm around my waist and kissed the side of my head. I looked up at him and smiled softly. I couldn't believe we were finally going to actually live together. We owned a house. Together. Him and I.
"When do you get access?" Dad asked.
"By the end of the week, the previous owners were already out." Miles said with a wide smile.
"Omg, this such great news. Don't get me wrong, I love having you here but wow, this is amazing." Dad said and we chuckled. It really was. I was finally taking a step I never thought I would ever take. I never thought I was going to buy a house with someone, live with someone. I never thought I wanted to do all this. Spend the rest of my life with someone, think about the future with someone else by my side. I thought I was going to be like my dad, take care of my own, work. I thought that was my destiny and nothing more. I never thought I was capable of falling in love it even be loved. I never thought someone would have the guts and the balls to it up with my shit and the shit my work brought. But I guess I was very very wrong. Not guess, I was very very wrong. I looked up at Miles and smiled, he proved me wrong. I was capable of being loved, to love.
