LINA'S POV
They all were laying flat on their stomachs at the gym after a gruelling workout.
"We have a few things to work on." I said and they all groaned loudly.
"Told you, you would hate me." I said.
"How aren't you dying?" Payback asked as he was trying to catch his breath. I preferred calling them by their designated call signs, it would make it easier for them to become their characters as well.
"Because Payback, I have done this every day, 365 days a year, for 8 years." I said and he groaned.
"You are insane." He mumbled.
"So be it." I said.
Eventually they all got up and I looked in the doorway to see my dad and I quickly looked away which these guys nodded. "I'll see you all in class later, you're dismissed." I said and they all went outside. Dad walked in and I looked out of the window towards the runway.
"Hi." He said and stood next to me.
"Hi." I said.
"You are doing well." He said and I nodded.
"Yeah." I said.
"I'm sorry I didn't tell you about the production and for not reaching out sooner." He said.
"Is that why I'm here? Because you are sorry?" I asked.
"No, well, I'm glad you are here but it was totally up to Top Gun to choose." He said.
"Did you know I would've been training for a mission of you and your friends hadn't pulled me out?" I asked and he sighed.
"Lina, I promise you, I had nothing to do with who they chose." He said.
