"How's your leg?" Madi asks gesturing towards my leg brace. The doctor informed me that I should be light on it. Meaning, that I shouldn't be jumping down from high places or anything crazy like that. He said my leg is almost fully healed so I'll be able to walk on it. However, I can't be over working it like running long distances.
Basically in shorter terms, no performing for me yet.
I buckle my brace on and wiggle it around to test out the strength and durability. I have to keep my brace on at all times except for when I shower. That means I can't even go swimming or dip my legs in the water, which sucks. I hope the doctor can make an exception to at least let me dip it in the water for a little while, but I doubt it. He only wants me to heal and I get that, so I guess I'll be adding the brace to my fashion statement for a while.
"A little sore but it's all good." I smile bending my leg a bit to show her. She nods smiling and turns to zip up her bag. Luke left about fifteen minutes ago to join the others downstairs. I wanted to talk to Madi personally anyways.
"So.." I trailed off while walking over to where my bag was. Madi turned her attention to me, threading her fingers through her hair. "What exactly happened?" I asked quietly, still weird about talking about it.
"What do you mean?" She questions raising her eyebrow playfully causing both of us to giggle. I sit down carefully on a chair as I shift my weight on my right leg.
"Everything," I look deeply into her green eyes and fiddle with my bracelets that I put on a minute ago waiting for Madi to talk. She searches my eyes for a moment and knows what I'm talking about; the crash and my coma.
"I don't think we have time to explain everything here," Madi shoves her hands in her sweater pockets. "But we can talk when we get home."
"We're going home?" I asked happily that we are allowed visit our families. It seems like forever since we last saw them.
Madi nods, "but you gotta get dressed first." She mentions while laughing and I notice I'm still in my hospital gown. She snickers before passing me a dress and I look at her like she is crazy.
"I was planning on wearing shorts." I say, knowing that I can't wear my jeans over my brace. I can't wear anything over my brace unless it's loose like sweats.
"All your shorts are jean shorts and knee length." Madi shuts me down and I frown, to which she apologizes for. She chuckles when realizing that I don't like wearing dresses on a daily basis. I'll wear dresses only on special occasions like the awards show we attended a few months ago.
VMA's... That was one hell of a night.
So good that I apparently I had to get myself preggo.
"Fine." I gave in and grabbed the dress from her hands. It was a dark blue high-low dress. Eh, I can live with this. I don't have choice either way.
"Your memory a little hazy or anything?" She asks as I slip on the dress. I shake my head no before she helps me zip the dress up. It's a snug fit, which I gawk at.
I've been in a coma for how long, and I still fit in my usual clothing size?
"I can still remember stuff." I fully answer her and slip on my tennis shoes. Who cares if this doesn't match, these shoes are comfortable. "Like when I dated your brother for a while." I tease her with wink before she cringes.
"Ew, no. I just asked you a question." Madi says with a disgusted look on her face. While Josh and I were kind of an on-and-off thing, I was with Madi's brother. Yes, Hunter. Hunter was only about three years older than me.
