"Yike, yikes, yikes." Alex says, while she shuffles through the drawers of her bedside table.

"What are you looking for?" I rub my tired eyes as I lay on one of her newly covered pillows. I sigh in happiness when I feel the warmth of the freshly dried sheets.

"I'm looking for the songs we wrote." She mentions and closes one of the messy drawers.

"Hopefully, I didn't throw them away when I was cleaning once." She opens the last drawer that was beneath the one she closed.

"You never forget things like this." I point out, swinging my legs over the edge of the bed. My feet meet the cold, wooden floors as I get up to walk to her desk that was a few feet away. She clearly ignores my statement as she continues to pile through her paperwork.

"Luckily, I was with you when you put the songs away." I grin when I see the familiar sight of the tear-stained sheets of paper in one of the drawers of her desk. I pull them out and turn around on my heel to meet her hopeful, brown eyes.

"Thank you!" Alex exclaims, hugging me. I smile and wrap my arms around her for only a split second before pulling away. Her lips spread into a wide smile as she grabs the papers from my hand, ever so softly. "I should have you around more." She admits while her eyes scan over the blue print of the two songs.

"Well, I think you already have." I chuckle and brush past her to go lay on her bed once again. I've been sleeping in her room practically ever since we've got back from the hospital. Not going to lie, but I've made myself a little home in her room. It's very comfortable.

"Very true." Alex places the papers on the bed beside me and sits on her desk chair. I watch as she switches her leg brace from the white one to sleep with to the black, bulky one for the daytime.

"Have any plans today?" My eyes follow her across the room when she walks over to her clothes drawer.

"I am leaving to the doctor's' office soon, actually." She brings up and grabs a pair of socks that are balled together.

"Another one? Did you hurt yourself?" I asked worriedly and sit up on the bed to meet her eyes.

"I didn't tell you?" Alex adds and I shook my head no. Her face doesn't give away that she felt ashamed that she didn't tell me.

We've gotten closer for the past month, like nothing drastic ever occured. Everyday is the same thing where we wake up next to each other and make casual conversation. I could get used to this for sure.

"Sorry, I was planning to tell you, but I guess I never had time to." I notice a hint of blush appear on her cheeks and smile. She takes a seat on the desk chair and slips her socks on.

"It's fine. As long as you aren't hurt." I asserted and she smiles.

"That's very sweet of you." Her eyes light up in happiness. "Oh by the way, so I asked management about the tour and they said I could go!"

"Nice! Can you play, though?" I insisted, and a nervous expression flashes on her face.

"Well..." I sit on the edge of the bed and lean in to hear what she was saying. "That's kind of why I'm going to the doctor. The management wants me to check in with the doctor to make sure I can play."

"What if you can't?"

"Why are you being so negative?!" Alex jokes while swatting me with her hairbrush, and breaks into laughter to indicate that she wasn't sure of the answer to my question.

"I just want to make sure you won't hurt yourself." I held up my hands in surrender to go along with the joke.

"To answer your question, though, if I can't play then I'll just have to find someone to replace me." She says and couldn't fight the smile that creeps on her lips. Alex grabs her shoes that was put to the side for the day after fully combing through the knots in her brunette hair.
