My head started to replay different scenes and I started to become confused because my visions never change. Then I realize they aren't about my parents. It's about Calum. My mind rewinds to the start when I first met Calum after my gig at Disneyland.
Scenes change, and I visit the time the boys surprised an early visit for our Endless Minutes Tour.
After I minute, I hear someone clear his throat. I let go of Luke and see Cal standing there.
"Where's my hug Lex?" He whined holding out his arms with a smug, pouty face.
"You must be on something for you to want a hug from me." I raise my eyebrow at him and he returns with a smirk. He knows he hit nerve by using the nickname that I dislike. Plus, he rarely asks for a hug or any physical contact whatsoever. Carelessly, I walk over to Calum to give him a hug but he dodges it.
I remember disliking the nickname then only because Calum created it. He was hateful towards me and I wanted nothing to do with him. Though now, the nickname was kind of cute since he claimed it as his own nickname for me. He said my name was such a mouthful when we first met and assigned me that nickname.
"In your dreams, sweetheart." I scoff and softly shove him aside to greet the rest of the boys and let them unpack in their rooms.
Then, I realize that everything suddenly seems familiar to me. The scenes changed to the time I had to play a late dj-ing gig at CityWalk LA and it was late at night....
I grab my hairbrush tiredly and glide it not so gracefully through the knots. As I try to put it down on the marble counter, it slipped from my fingers and landed with a loud thud. I picked it up quickly, hoped it didn't wake anyone.
"Need help?" Cal asks leaning on the door frame, making me jump again.
"If you're here to mess with me, don't dare. I am too tired to deal with you." I sigh and rubbed at my freshly washed face.
"Well, I was trying to use the toilet, but here you are." Calum chuckles and stands up straight. "Here, I'll help you." He said softly pulling out the hairbrush out of my hand, and I am so sleepy to even go against his wishes. He brushes my hair carefully and with care. I closed my eyes and allow my breaths to even.
Cal finished and places the brush on the counter. He pick me up bridal style and walked to my room, again, without my refusal. He lays me down on my bed and brings my grey comforter up to my chin the way I like it.
"Go to sleep beautiful. I know you're tired." He softly smiles and steps back to shut the door.
And with that, I closed my eyes falling asleep soundly.
Fast forward to the next morning...
I hear the wooden flooring creak and I look up to see Cal walking groggily. I hold myself back from rolling my eyes, which has been the way I greet him for a while. Only this time he can see me so I decide against it. However, apparently the child needs attention because he makes himself known by closing my laptop.
I click my tongue annoyed and push my laptop aside onto the table. I turn back at Calum who already was sitting on the couch and wore a smug look.
"Did you just wake up?" I ask softly.
"Clearly." He scoffs and lays down on the cushions. With me on it, his torso takes the rest of the couch while his calves hang over the arm.
"Aw did sleepy head not get enough sleep?" I playfully tease him and almost slap myself right after. I am probably in a good mood because of the early caffeine. I'll have to yell at Madi for it.
