"Seems like no one is here." Chase announces when I pull into the parking lot of the racetrack I call home.
"Well, that's a bummer." I frown and drive around the perimeter to the garage, where most of the things we needed were held.
"I know. It's too bad other people can't see me beat you." Chase gives away a cocky smile, before opening the passenger door to get out. He closed the door behind him, unlocking the garage door, and opening it manually.
He secures the door and switches on the lights. Then, Chase waves me in after I turn my headlights off. He turns his head and mouths, "follow me." I nod once while Chase walks normally with his hands by his side and guides me through the garage.
Chase stops suddenly, which makes me slam on the brakes, making a loud screeching sound, and the front bumper barely hit his calves. He turns around with his eyebrows raised and laughs. I roll down my window when he walks around to my window that's rolled down.
"Fix the brakes much?" He chuckles and leans on the car door with his head poking in.
"I don't think it would've been a problem if you didn't stop so suddenly like that." I say and punch his shoulder playfully.
"I was referring to the squeaky brakes, but I get your point." Chase smiles. "I think you know the rest of the way out to the track." He looks in the direction my car is pointed towards.
"Hopefully I remember." We both nod and I place my hands on the steering wheel. I felt a little relief that at least someone doesn't take pity on me. He's confident nonetheless.
"I'm going to get my car. I'll meet you there." He states and hits my door lightly, which makes me frown.
"Well that was rude." I mutter and Chase laughs while mentioning an apology before walking away to the left of the car.
I navigate through the garage space to the entrance of the race track and find the garage door closed. I sigh heavily before getting out of the car and pulling up the door. Realizing it doesn't lock on its own, I silently curse while gazing at the pedal a few feet in front of me.
This garage door never had problems before and now I suddenly wish it locked on its own.
"Need a little help there?" Chase says as he drives up and Josh gets out of the passenger seat. I gape at the Aston Martin Vantage S, which makes me doubt my win at the end of the night.
"I've never seen that car here," I point out as I let go of the garage door once Josh locks it in place. I brush my hands off and give him a side hug.
"That's because it isn't mine" Chase states, leaning on the driver's side door. Josh claims it to be his and smiles when my jaw drops.
"You have an Vantage S with a V8 engine?!" I exclaim with a little jealousy ringing in my ears.
"I know, that's the same thing I said when I found out." Chase laughs. "430 horsepower in this baby." He walks over to stand by Josh and I.
"Still doesn't beat my LFA." I look proudly at the white Lexus in front of me. Even though it looks smaller, it's stronger than the Aston Martin.
"Oh please, Aston Martins are better than Lexus any day." Chase scoffs, but he eyes my car suspiciously.
"Slightly true." I shove my hands in the pockets of my worn out jeans. I've probably wore these for four days in a row because these are my non-baggy-makes-my-legs-look-nice jeans. "This LFA has a V10 engine and runs on 553 horsepower." I smirk as Chase becomes speechless because he knows I'm not lying.
