By the time the plane lands, it was late afternoon in the amazing city of Houston. The city I was born and raised in. I'm not a big fan of the extreme heat and humidity, but the skyline is definitely worth to see.
I sigh at my moment of content due to the only amount that I have because of all the tension coming from Luke and Calum. The spoke about who knows what after the plane takes off, but the conversation was cut short by the brunette of the duo. I found that rude of Calum. Luke was just trying to make small, casual conversation, and I guess Calum was not interested. He could have at least told Luke that he didn't want to talk, instead of just diving into his mobile device.
After going through security, Madi is currently on the phone with her brother, Hunter. We were forced to go through the back way to our van due to too many people being out front. I know how dangerous our sightings can be since everyone is pushing against one another to get a peek at us. However, I feel bad for not being able to meet the fans though. We all spent at least a three months inside a hospital with little external interaction, and they cannot get a simple sight of us.
I chose to sit in the very back of the van with Mado since the van was big enough for two people each row. In order to get comfortable, I sat sideways so I can rest my legs on Madi's lap and I grew happy that she did not mind one bit.
"See you at home," Madi ends her phone call and places her phone on my legs before leaning back into the seat. I ask about what she and her sibling spoke about while looking out the window across from me. While she pondered on how to answer my question, I admire the sun that was minutes away from setting, which caused the sky to hold a soft orange hue along the horizon.
"He said that everyone just got home. The twins were dropped off at the house a couple minutes ago." Smiles appear on our faces at the mention of the twins. I'm really excited to see the kiddos and how've they grown since I last saw them, which was a few months ago. I also could use a stress reliever. "The kids are excited to see you." She mentions and I chuckle.
"You mean Chase and Logan?" I refer to Natalie and Andy's brothers. Even though Logan is almost 19 and Chase is about 20, they are little kids at heart. They are probably the most childish ones in the house. Madi goes along with the joke and laughs.
Once we end the conversation, I notice that everyone was singing along to the music playing from the radio. My eyes stopped at the sight of Natalie and Calum dancing together. I observed how his eyes crinkled at the corners whenever he smiled. I feel like I've seen that before because it seems so familiar.
"Do you remember anything about him?" Madi asks about Calum when she follows my gaze. I look back at her and her expression turned serious.
"I remember he's in 5sos." I joke but Madi doesn't seemed amused so my smile falters before I satisfy her a serious answer. "When I took a nap earlier a memory came back, but it wasn't enough to remember anything about him." I reply and her green eyes grow softer.
"What was the memory about?" She grabs her phone and turned her whole body so that it faced me fully. I moved my legs aside so she can get comfortable. She seemed really curious and willing to listen, so I thought about the dream I had before explaining to her.
"I was under the Eiffel Tower with him. It was just us standing there and that was it." I shrug, not seeing the importance of the memory. She simply nods so I continue my train of thoughts. "I want to remember him but it's hard to. Like I know those memories are there but it's hard to get ahold of them." I sigh defeatedly and she nods her head again.
"That's deep." I laugh at her statement. I know she was joking because she laughs with me. It was only a few seconds before her face becomes serious once again. "But I understand. I hope you remember him." She pats my leg and now I'm the one to nod.
