Sitting there beside Alex has gotten me thinking about the time she was in a coma. Everyone was waiting for her to wake up and it's exactly the same today, too. We are all waiting for Alex to wake up, however unlike the last time, they all seem to be relaxed instead of being on edge. I feel calm, but I know somewhere in my veins there's a trace of worry.

Ashton had to bring me aside for a few minutes to calm me down because of the anger that took over me after I found out Alex had fainted.

What if Alex didn't just faint? What if it's more than that?

I take some deep breaths to push the thoughts of this being Chase's fault. Being angry won't fix the situation Alex is in right now.

I don't think I could live with myself if she had another coma, and this time she wouldn't wake up. Especially if I was starting to hold a grudge against her earlier. It was probably because of the jealousy I gained towards her ex-boyfriend, and maybe Chase. I find it weird that Alex considers to be a friend with her ex, but it does show how a great person she is to be with. I did notice that she's close with Chase, and I guess Alex sees him as a brother. I should ask next time.

Also, Alex totally forgot about our run we planned and I was looking forward to having a good time with her.

I try to free my mind of all the negative thoughts I had of her and think of the good.

Please let her be okay.

I snake my fingers through my hair and focus my eyes on Alex's face to see if there are any little movements. I'm pretty sure everyone is desperate for any sign of hope to her waking. I notice her eyelids twitching and rub my eyes before looking again. Since it was almost half past eleven and I woke up early today, sleep was probably fooling me. But Alex's eyelids were twitching more.

"I think she's waking up." My voice became more hopeful as her lips parted. Color slowly flowed back into her face, which made her cheeks have a pink tint.

"Alex?" Madi asks softly and Alex groans in response. Madi looks up at me and smiles. "You wanna get up?" She asks and everyone scooted back to give some space.

"Nah, I just want to stay here laying on the dirty road. I mean it's sooooo comfy and there's even a rock poking my back. Would you like to try?" Alex says sarcastically and we all laugh. Even woken up from a faint, she never fails to sass everyone.

She speaks more than the average person who just woke up from a faint. Usually, you'd feel exhausted. I think Alex is definitely not the average person due to her spoken sentences.

"I was just wondering, geez. Like do you want me to push you out of the bed right when you wake up in the morning, now?" Madi says in return and Alex opens her eyes. She squints at first because of the bright, harsh lighting of the race track.

"I think I'm good." Alex smiles as she sits up. "What even happened?" She rubs her face and Chase answers her question.

"You fainted." He said and Alex's hands fall from her face as she makes eye contact with him.

"How did that happen?" Chase shrugs as the rest of us eye each other. I bet we all have the same thought going through our head: Who's going to tell Alex about her car?

"We were kinda hoping you could tell us." Natalie saves her brother from the ongoing questions.

"Do you remember the last thing that happened before you fainted?" Andy interrogates.
