I know the pic is a little old for him but just imagine that adorableness in baby form :) I don't really ask this of y'all but can we get this chapter to at least 3-5 votes by next Wednesday? It would mean so much!

"Everything seems perfectly fine." My doctor stares at the illuminated x-ray images on the wall in front of us. I tilted my head to try and understand where the problem was as I looked at the before and after of my leg.
"So I don't need my sling anymore?" I refer to the itchy, white material that stretched around my calf and halfway up my thigh. I breathe out relief when he nodded his head in confirmation. I have been dreaming of the day to see that simple head movement from him.
"You see, when we took off your bulky brace, the bone still had minor fractures that could get worse over time if not properly healed." He took off his glasses to continue his much needed explanation and then pointed to the small cracks on the picture to the left. "To ensure your leg is in the right path of recovery, we made you wear the slimmer one so you could not only be more comfortable, but also slowly get back to moving more frequently."
"And now my leg is fully healed!" I raise my arms high to show my gratefulness and my doctor laughed in response. For dramatic effect, he allowed me to cut off the brace, however, he still gave me another one just in case for future reference. It was probably because the one I just snipped off was tearing apart and the stitch was fraying due to my weekly washing.
"I recommend that you slip this on during a full workout for a little support. Your leg will take some time to get use to the daily physical activity, but I have full confidence that you will be just fine." He smiles and hands the brace sealed in plastic to me before I place it in my crossbody bag.
"Thank you for all the help." I shake his hand and walk out of the room to the front desk down the hallway.
Both of my blonde friends catch up behind me; not failing to earn a frightened breath from me.
"I need to attach some bells on you guys." Luke and Madi laugh at my joke and began to pace with me.
Greeting the woman behind the counter, I ask about any payment that is needed and she shakes her head, but requires me to sign a paper. "Congratulations, I am so glad you healed well. The whole lobby was rooting for you." A warm smile spreads across her face as I scribble my signature on the black line at the bottom of the paper. After thanking her, I wish her a wonderful day, since it is New Years Eve after all, and make my way to our car behind the tall duo.
"The cast is off and my goodness, I am in dire need of a shave." I inspect my left shin that had hair poking out in the passenger seat while Luke drives.
We originally planned to go straight to my aunt's home, but then I remembered that I forgot my present for the baby in my room. I swear I told myself to grab it before I left. Madi mentioned something about me being so smart from the second row of the SUV. I facepalmed at her sarcastic comment and decided to tease my best friend by agreeing.

Immediately we were welcomed by the crowd of a family, who lounged in the kitchen when Alex barged through the door. Unsurprisingly, she found it unlocked as the raven-haired turned the knob. Since the members in this abode have a lack of sense of security, the ladies seemed to not be shocked.
"How was it?" Hunter raised an eyebrow at his sister's friend's unusual behavior, in which she stormed up the stairs. In the car ride, we all acknowledged our same mindset with how odd it is going to be when we leave. I already have a hunch that they will bombard the three of us with a million questions, because we are supposed to help out on the party set up that is occurring later tonight.
