Third POV

Izuku sat quietly in Katsuki's office.

He kept his eyes on the desk, not trying to make any sudden movements that could put Akiko's sleeping body, which was in the hold of Jirou.

Another worker of Katsuki who had purple-toned black hair cut in a short fashion and similar eyes, declared as a beta.

The sound of the office door opening and then shut with a thud sent shivers down his spine, listening to footsteps circle around the desk and a brooding figure take a seat in the head swivel chair.

"Izuku Midoriya." Katsuki's voice sounded rough, letting the omega's maiden name fall from his mouth, "Honestly, the lack of paper trail you have is concerning."

"I don't understand what you mean." Izuku answered quietly, scowling looking up at the man who stared at Izuku intently, "And it's Awase. Izuku Awase."

Katsuki's brows pinched, "Your marriage wasn't legitimized by a real officiant. It's bogus so I believe I'd be doing your mother, Inko, a solid by calling you by your original name."

"My mother?" Now being Izuku's turn to have an agitated expression, "She's been dead for years, and I don't think I'd take your word for it considering all you've done so far."

"If my actions are too much for you, then let my words suffice," Katsuki stated bluntly, "Your mother, Inko Midoriya is very much alive? Though paralyzed from the waist down due to your false husband's horrific actions."

Izuku felt shivers run down his spine, not wanting to believe it.

"Believe me, when I say I spoke to that woman, I think it finally makes sense about why you behave the way that you do." Katsuki let out a dry laugh, though he didn't find much humor in it.

~Flashback~

It'd taken two whole hours, but he was now on the line and being transferred to unit 308B.

Inko Midoriya's residence in the Yomura special nursing facility.

"Hello?" An older feminine voice sounded on the phone, "May I ask who this is?"

Katsuki cleared his throat, trying to sound as professional as possible, "Hello, Is this Inko Midoriya, mother to an Izuku Awase?"

"It's Midoriya! It will always be Midoriya unless he marries someone upstanding." Inko murmured harshly on the line, before her tone dropped, "But, yes, I am his mother."

"Or, I guess you could say, was his mother."

Katsuki raised his brows at the woman doing one-eighty in attitude, "Right, in any case, you can call me Mr.Bakugo, I'm calling on behalf of your son."

"He had a pup, named Akiko with this Awase fellow, care tell to tell me what you know? It's impertinent as I'm trying to get my facts straight."

He listened to a sigh fall from Inko's mouth.

"My poor baby, trapped with such a horrible person." Inko stated bluntly, "I suppose I should start from the beginning."
