XXIII: Big Difference

Third POV

The sound of birds chirping let Izuku know that he stayed up too late.

He couldn't find himself sleeping longer than an hour without waking up in a cold sweat because of yesterday's incident.

So he had just decided to get up and get him and Akiko ready for the day, before choosing to rest a bit before going downstairs.

Although...

He turned to Akiko, who was awake just like him but didn't have the energy or strength to move around and coo like she usually did.

His eyes wandered to next to her, noticing her Pozy was tucked in beside her little body.

Katsuki probably put it there when they both fell asleep.

Back to Akiko, Izuku noticed how her eyes wandered downwards, to Izuku's hands, and eventually so did his own.

To be honest, Izuku didn't know what to expect when Katsuki gave him the gift and left without another word.

In his hands was a 7.47 ct.Tw emerald and diamond, 14k white gold pave bracelet.

Two, infact.

One much smaller than the other, not able to fit snuggly on Izuku's other wrist.

Reaching out for Akiko's good arm, he gently clasped the bracelet on, watching how it dazzled underneath the dim lighting of the bedroom.

The white gold made Akiko's skin pop vibrantly, as the little girl gently waved her hand around and let out little 'oohs' at her dam.

It was beautiful.

Gently scooping her up and placing her on his lap, Izuku pressed little kisses on top of her head, watching his pup sputter and play with the diamond pieces embedded in the bracelet.

"Adorable." Izuku cooed, pressing another kiss to Akiko's temple.

His own bracelet, he placed on the nightstand.

Laying still was his wedding ring.

A level of anger rose in him that couldn't be contained.

Izuku imagined Katsuki had to pay a pretty penny for the matching bracelets, not to mention taking in and accommodating Izuku and Akiko.

Izuku snatched up the ring, slipping out of bed and hoisting Akiko onto his hip.

Going downstairs, his footsteps sounded louder than usual considering the unusual silence in the home.

Turning the corner and arriving to the main living room did he see Kirishima sitting on the couch, scrolling on his phone, while Ashido was sleeping with her head on his lap.

"Good morning..." Izuku mustered out, gaining Kirishima's immediate attention as he put down his phone and gently stood up to not wake up Ashido.

"Morning," Kirishima nodded, looking at Akiko who was trying to now chew the bracelet, "Glad to see she's in a bright mood."

Izuku nodded, readjusting Akiko, "I hope everything is okay."
