Izuku was surprised to say the very least, but grateful.

He didn't request to go anywhere special, but now here he was at a public park, sitting on a pale blue blanket with Akiko in between his legs, playing with the small charms on her wrist.

A gift from Uraraka.

Katsuki stayed true to his word, telling Izuku to go get dressed and get whatever he needed and Kirishima would drop him off.

Now dressed in a babydoll Georgette halter minidress and Akiko in a white romper, they sat in comforting silence.

Akiko's amusement shifted from the bracelet to the ducks that waded in the nearby park.

Singles, couples both young and old enjoyed the park as well, as Izuku just observed, subconsciously smoothing out the wrinkles of Akiko's clothes.

His sense of normalcy had been completely warped since that day.

He could've been just one of these families, enjoying a day out without any dark truths lingering at the back of his head.

Peeking up from viewing a family that passed by on the cobble stone trail, his gaze shifted to another family.

There was another small family; a woman obviously pregnant sitting at the wooden bench table with a man and a kid beside her, clapping.

Celebrating.

He watched as the kid, no older than 5 reached and pushed what looked to be a handmade gift towards the woman, followed by the man who gave her a gift in a dark blue bag.

Enough.

Izuku blinked hard, turning away and holding Akiko closer.

He couldn't continue to linger on his past.

Besides the worse an experience, the faster you have to get over it.

Pressing a kiss to Akiko's forehead, he felt her small forehead become slightly sticky with perspiration, as her coos dwindled.

A slight breeze brushed past, the sound of tree and shrub leaves shaking making everything feel so surreal.

Perfect concealment for those up to no good.

"This is my birthday... I might as well enjoy it." Izuku mumbled to himself, lifting Akiko up as she wobbled on her own to legs, "Don't you think, sweetheart?"

Turning her around, he brushed her hair from her face, adoring the little white bows that were nestled into her dark green curls.

After all this time, Izuku was kinda glad she looked nothing like Awase.

"Alright Akiko," Izuku glanced over at the pond, "Do you wanna get a closer look at the pond? Or we could take a walk..?"

He then turned away from her for a mere second, gazing at the small shack that was selling assorted ice treats.

"Or, how about we-,"
