XXXVII: Clarity

Third POV
*Mature Content Ahead*

Katsuki arrived home, bloodstained and somewhat stitched up at two in the morning.

A look of exhaustion was written on his face, though knowing Akiko made it back to Izuku somewhat made things better.

Or at least when he was home.

Quietly, he crept upstairs, praying that Izuku wouldn't be awake.

At this point, he wouldn't even care if Akiko and Izuku took over the primary bedroom and he was forced to go sleep in his home office or back at the company.

The bedroom door quietly creaked  open, with the slightly warm hallway lights flooding only parts of his room.

He slightly jolted, staring at Izuku who was propped up with pillows and the headboard, as he sat upright and crossed his legs. Sitting in silence, with his left hand gently rubbing Akiko's sleeping back.

"...Izuku..." Katsuki barely whispered out, closing the door behind him at the omega's order, watching how Izuku slipped off the bed and placed one of the pillows vertically so Akiko wouldn't roll off.

Izuku stepped forward, reaching for the nightstand that had a small packet of wet wipes, pulling out one towelette and heading for Katsuki who just stood there.

He stood just a few inches from the blond, making out from the distinct shadows of Katsuki's once flawless skin with slight blood spatter decorating his cheek and brow ridge.

Wordlessly, Izuku began to dab away, his breathing still while attempting to clean the man.

"It's not my blood." Katsuki mentioned, noting Izuku was persistent in not saying much, "You do understand?"

Suddenly, but gently knowing Izuku didn't have full strength like before, Katsuki grabbed his hand.

"You don't have have to do this."

Izuku stared at Katsuki, observing the bags under his eyes.

"I know," Izuku murmured, feeling Katsuki let go of his wrists, his eyes wandering to the gun that Katsuki still had hovering in his hand, "Is it still loaded?"

"All rounds spent." Katsuki answered bleakly, "Don't worry."

"I'm not." Izuku shook his head, as he listen to a thud.

That was the sound of Katsuki dropping the gun, as the man gritted his teeth,

"Then why are you doing this?"

Izuku swallowed thickly, as his lips quivered dropping the towelette and colliding into Katsuki's body.

The scent of metallics and the prime Alpha's scent clashing as they raced to fill Izuku's lungs.

"Because you got my baby back to me safe and sound."

Izuku's body shivered, wrapping his arms around Katsuki, "If you truly didn't care then you wouldn't have gone for her,"
