Ever since the day I came out of class as a potential top notchers, Charlemagne was now threaten on her position. She was on top of her class. Yesterday, she threatened me if I bested her again in the class, it would be a breaking point that she will do whatever it takes to stop me.
Today, we have General Math as the first subject. Here's the thing, I hate math. Sure I know how to answer, but it gives me more stress. I know Charlemagne would love this, because Dorian told me, this is her chance to shine.
Jonathan: Dorian, I am anxious on what happens if I dominate the entire class.
Dorian: Come on, you've managed to do a 180° in your life. Everyone is rooting for you.
Jonathan: That's the problem... Charlemagne would start a competition against me.
Dorian: Come on, I'll block the first few blows so you can prepare for a rebuttal.
Charlemagne: Guys! Our math teacher is here!
And then our teacher arrives...
Sr. Ferdinand: Good morning class!
Class: *in low boring voice* Good morning Sr. Ferdinand....
Sr. Ferdinand: Are you ready for your Calculus lessons?
Charlemagne: Yes, in ready!
Dorian: *in low, slightly quiet voice* Hey, here's the thing, Charlemagne has more leverage over a math subject. She's good at it. How about you?
Jonathan: I know how to do math, it's just I hate it.
Dorian: Oh, you don't need to worry about that. She would be fine if you didn't take the highest score. Just do well, and don't try to intentionally fail for the sake of her.
Jonathan: Well, a tie or a second place would be fine.
So our math teacher decided to teach us about matrices. I know these things before, but this time he takes it on another level. He decided to make the grid spaces as big as 5x5, and has some irrational numbers, and functions. This was just brutal, and I understand it, it's just I don't feel like I'm doing it. Charlemagne was excited, and I guess I feel safe. On my place though, I decided not to intentionally fail. I would try and aim for second place.
After the lesson, there a long test, and I decided to create some mistakes intentionally. Just one or two would be fine, so I can make sure that Charlemagne gets a chance to win.
After the long test, we passed the papers, and it was a brutal test. I decided to pass the test when Charlemagne isn't here, just for extra safety to not knowing I downplayed myself.
Jonathan: Here sir, I intentionally made mistakes here for a good reason.
Sr. Ferdinand: *Looks at the paper* Uhh... Why would you do that?
Jonathan: Look, I don't want to start a rivalry.
Sr. Ferdinand: Wait, you don't want to? That's fine to have a rival. You need some competition to bring out on what you actually are.
Jonathan: I know, but the one person I am about to have a rivalry is Charlemagne. She's not happy about me since Monday.
Sr. Ferdinand: Charlemagne? Wow. Even though I know you know to solve my equations, you ain't have a match against her. She loves math.
Jonathan: Yeah the problem is I can do well even without trying.
Sr. Ferdinand: Well we can see about that once I've done checking all this papers. Come on, this is the first time I've seen you change because I heard about the other professors opinion about you changed when you became a human again. So whatever you do, don't waste it again.
Jonathan: Ok sir.
So during the break time, I talked to Charlemagne about the pending rivalry situation.
Jonathan: Charlemagne!
Charlemagne: What?
Jonathan: I know you're somehow upset about me, but please. If I become on top, then don't try to destroy me. I don't want to waste my true potential on who I am.
Charlemagne: No, I can't let that. I want my parents proud.
Jonathan: But they would be proud if your grades are massive.
Charlemagne: But they want me to be first.
Jonathan: I will talk to your parents about this.
Charlemagne: No, you don't want to meet my parents. Maybe when the right time comes.
Jonathan: Ok, maybe later. I also intentionally made two mistakes for the math quiz because I'm scared that you will start beating the crap out of me if I got the highest score.
Charlemagne: That's fine, I know I'm gonna be first.
And then as soon as after we talked, the math quiz that was took earlier was returned from us. I got two mistakes, as I intended to be. But I realized that I overestimated her.
Jonathan: *Analyzes the score* Two mistakes, as I intended to be.
Dorian: My gosh dude, I almost failed.
Jonathan: How much?
Dorian: 44/55 the passing is 40.
Jonathan: That's good, keep it up.
Dorian: Anyways... Charlamagne, what is your score?
Charlemagne: ... I got 48.
Jonathan: *Realizes she didn't get a perfect score* Oh no.
This is everything where I realized, I'm screwed.
Charlemagne: Jonathan, one question... What's your score?
Jonathan: I intentionally made two mistakes, just for you.
Charlemagne: That doesn't work like that!!!
Jonathan: Oh no... Im screwed...
Charlemagne: You and me... Are now rivals. Let's see who would last longer...
Later that chemistry class... She decided that her first move, was to fill up a plastic bottle with liquid nitrogen, and then she decided to aim it at me.
When she launched it, it missed me, and almost hit Mr. Kyouki. Despite his insanity, he knows what is wrong, and he got mad at her.
Jonathan: *Sees a flying bottle of liquid nitrogen* OH MY GOSH! *Slides to the left*
Mr. Kyouki: Oh my gosh! Charlemagne, what are you doing?
Charlemagne: Uhh, storing liquid nitrogen? It accidentally goes off.
Mr. Kyouki: It doesn't work that way. Did you try to intentionally hit someone?
Charlemagne: No.
And as we left the campus. Charlemagne, is now plotting every way to win against me. She decided to take the violent measure later if in case she can't win normally, and started to exploit every loophole she can find
Charlemagne: Well if Jonathan wants competition, I would do way better... Even if I have to take some... Drastic measures.
But thats the story for another day.
