After a long hour of hunting Keith seems to have calm down from his vampire frenzy.

"Are you sure Mr. Hale is going to help?"

"Yes Cara stop worrying so much. A vampire would help another vampire right?"

'Noon, I have to tell them, I need to tell them who sent me.'

Austin, are you crazy?! Remember he said he would tell them.'

'I know but still...'

Austin c'mon, get it together.

"Austin you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine Cara."

"You look a little concerned."

"Oh it's nothing, I was just thinking about Tess."

"Austin, can I ask you something?"

"Sure Cara."

"How long have you known about Tess?"

"Well, since I was around 12 years old, so about 8 years. You know, I still get flashbacks. When I was 3 and Tess was only 1, I can still remember our mom trying her hardest to fight off the demons and vampires."

"It must have been hard."

"No, 'hard', that's an understatement."

"I lost my parents too, in the war."

"Who didn't lose their parents in the war?"

"True, I don't know of anyone who didn't."

"But not many saw their mother die right in front of them."

"What are you talking about?"

"She hid us, under the floorboards, Tess was asleep, I was carrying her, and I heard as one by one, demons and vampires, came into the room surrounding our mom."

She puts her hand on my shoulder.

"It's okay, Austin."

My voice starts to break.
"Once they killed her they just left the body there, her blood was going through the floorboards, I saw it dripping. It seemed like an eternity until someone got us out. I was too scared to move. Our guardians were the ones that got us out. Elizabeth Anderson and Joshua Hale."

"Wait a minute, Joshua Hale?"

"Yup, your headmaster Mr. Hale."

'AUSTIN! ARE YOU CRAZY?! He's gonna get mad at you!'

They were going to know either way Noon, might as well be now.

"He won't be happy that I told you, but I trust you, Cara. You too Nathan."

"Well we should get going then."

"Nathan's right, c'mon Austin."

We sneak around the training area, Cara points out a window.

"He's in his office."

We continue and once we're at the door Cara carefully puts her ear near the door to make sure no one else is in the office with him.

"Okay, it's clear." She knocks first, and waits for a response.

"Come in." She slowly opens the door.

"Cara, come in. A little late for a chat don't you think?"

"Hello Mr. Hale, I was just wondering if you could help me with, um, an issue that I have."
