Chapter 9

He was definitely blushing while he asked. I'm sure I was blushing too. I never really thought about Nathan being my mate, but I always found him attractive, I guess I never really gave into my feelings for him. I looked into his blue eyes.

"Yes, Nathan Collins. I would love to be your mate." His eyes full of happiness, he leaned close to me.

His kiss, his lips, warm, soft, sweet. I opened my eyes to see him smiling, I smiled back.

"Shall we continue back to the Academy?"
"Yeah"- I responded.

As we continued back to the academy he reached for my hand, I didn't hesitate. Arriving to the training area I ran towards Cara, as I pulled her aside, I whispered to her
"Be a blonde."

"K?"

"Okay guess what?"

"Deer butt?"

"Seriously?"

"Okay, sorry Tess, what?"

"Nathan and I are mates."- I tell her with a big smile.

"Oh my gosh!! Where, when, and how did this happen?!"

"Today and just about 30 minutes ago."

"Wow. I totally saw it coming."

"He also kissed me."

"What?!"

"Yeah"- I tell her with a grin

"So how was it? The kiss? Was it like eating a freshly cooked deer with mashed potatoes?"

"Again, seriously you're thinking food?"
"I'm always thinking about food."

"Well the kiss wasn't even compared to that, it was... Ugh.. I can't describe it... It was magnificent."

"So, Tess, it was like triple compared to eating the deer?"

"Sure it was like triple, no more like quadruple that."

"Oh wow, it must have been really special. Well congrats Tess, I'm sure the headmasters will agree on you and Nathan being mates."

"I hope they do Cara."

"Nathan it's been 3 days I think it's time we bring this up to the headmasters so that they'll approve you and I being mates."

"You're right Tess."
We walked to Mr. Moore's office as Nathan was about to knock he said "Come in."

We walked in.

"Good morning headmaster."

"Good morning Tess. Nathan."

"Good morning."

"What can I help you with?"- he asked

"Well we have something to tell you"- I start, Nathan reaches for my hand.

"Nathan and I are mates..."

Mr. Moore responds with-

"Wonderful, headmaster Reyes saw this coming and told headmaster Hale and I."

Headmaster Reyes, how did I forget? She's a demoness and she gets visions.

"Headmaster so do all 3 of you approve?"- I ask.

"Of course Tess, you and Edwin were a strong couple, but he was bitten not born, and I'm sure that you're aware of all pure bloods being in danger."

"Yes we both know."- Nathan responded.

"I will inform both headmasters, Reyes and Hale (vampire).

"Thank you."- We both say.

"Dismissed."

We leave, holding hands and with big smiles.
