Chapter 31: Cara's POV

"So he's going to be okay? No more venom in his system?"

"You did good Cara, but you didn't take all of it."

Well at least I know I can take some venom out.

"All Keith had was a small amount of venom left in his system, he'll be fine, you did good."

"Thank you Mr. Hale."

"So tell me, Austin. How's the mission going?"

Austin avoids eye contact with Mr. Hale for a moment then he looks up.

"Well it's not going terribly bad. I know where she is, she's home with-"

Austin just stops, he stumbles a little to stay on his feet, he holds his hands up rubbing his template.

"Whoa Austin, what's wrong?"

"Something happened to Tess."

"What do you mean? How do you know?"

"It's a connection that I have with Tess, and Noon has with Midnight."

"Well let's go!" Nathan says already headed towards the door.

"Where is she Austin?"

"At her house." As we're headed out I get a weird feeling.

"Wait."

"What is it Cara?"

"Someone let down their mind block."

"What?"

"They're trying to get my attention. It's Ryan." As we're heading out the door, Ryan appears.

"Ryan, what's wrong."

"My brother Ryder, something happened."

"Austin?"

"He must have been with Tess too, if he is her other guard."

Oh great.

"Well what are we waiting for lets go."

"Bring her back. Nurse Baker and I will set up medications for anything that may have harmed them."

"Alright Mr. Hale."

We all take off running, except Keith, he stayed behind.

Who could have done this? Slayers? But why would they be back?

"Austin what do you think?"

"I don't know, the only thing I can think of are slayers."

"Same, I can't think of anything else that would hurt her."

We get to her house in minutes. We go inside and find Tess, Ryder, and Elizabeth (Ms. A) unconscious.

"What the hell."

Austin's eyes change color, his eyes changed to a dark lavender color. He just takes in all of his surroundings. After a few minutes his eyes turn back to green-blue.
