A Lycan's Life

Chapter 2

Since Edwin and I weren't so close anymore I knew someone who could (hopefully) help, Cara. She has been in a relationship with her boyfriend, Keith Thomson, for 4 years all through High School. (FYI Keith is human). I was very sure that Cara had some advice she could give me.

Even though I was older than her by like 3 months, she was the more mature one, and she was more of a big sister to me. So that day, I first went looking for her in our cabin (we were roomies) and knocked to see if she was there, she wasn't, so I went to the training area instead, she was there. Training. Well she was actually doing nothing.

"Hey Cara."

"Hey Tess"

"I kinda need some advice"- so I told her about me and Edwin. And then she says

"Tess, I'll give you advice, but let me just tell you, I never liked Edwin."
I responded with-

"Cara, I know you never liked him I was standing right next to you when you threatened him 2 years ago saying, and I quote 'if you hurt her I will hunt you down myself, kill you, cut you into tiny little pieces, and then set them on fire.' Do you remember?"

She thought about it for a minute, then she remembers, with a smile.

"Okay Tess, this is what I think you could do; 1. Find a way to turn him on, 2. Make him jealous, or 3. Dump his sorry little ass."

"Cara, you're my friend and everything but you should know, that I am not capable of doing any of those things. Well I guess maybe I could dump him, but it doesn't seem right." - I tell her.

So we argue away on what I could do, then out of the corner of my eye I see Edwin walking towards us.

Cara and I stop simultaneously. Edwin says "Hi" to both of us and then asks Cara if she would please leave us, so we could talk. Edwin's takes my hands into his, he starts

"Tess you know how much I like you, but I just don't feel what I used to. I found someone else."

"What?!"- I almost shout

"I'm sorry"

"Who is it?!"

"Emily Knight"

"Seriously, out of everyone in the Academy?!! That demoness who hates both me and Cara, simply because she can't be the best?!!"- I yell at him as I take my hands out of his.

I turn around and I see Cara running towards us, I blink, hear a thud, and I turn around, I see Cara on top of Edwin strangling him. Things got more serious when Edwin turned things around and started strangling Cara.
But since we were in the training area everybody who was around thought they were training. I tried to get the 2 of them separated but I was pushed aside.

Cara got Edwin pinned on his belly, she took his left hand, breaking his index finger, ring finger, and pinky, then she took his right arm positioned it and dislocated his right shoulder. But she wasn't done. She turned him over on his back and punched away, at his face and ribs, I noticed that she broke a few of his ribs, and his face was all bloody, but she then took his left leg and dislocated his knee. Everything happened so fast and I had to get Cara off of him before she beat him to death.

Cara read my mind and stopped but
she punched him one last time knocking him out. I walked to Cara and thanked her. But I couldn't leave Edwin there, I went over to him and helped him up. He struggled walking, of course, so I had him put his arm around me. When we got to the infirmary, I told the nurse that he did some very intense training with Cara Ross, she nodded, we entered and I helped lay Edwin down. I asked the nurse for an ice-pack. Then I left not looking back.

When I got back to Cara she had a few bruises, a black eye, and marks around her throat. I asked

"Are you okay?"

"This is nothing, don't worry about it."

But I still gave her the ice-pack.
After Cara went to the nurse to fix up a quick potion to hide the "injuries" we went back to our high school for our graduation.
