I kneel beside Tess, her body shaking vigorously. I don't hesitate another second, I pick her up and I run back to the Academy. Cara and Matthew run behind me. Matthew carrying the slayers' weapons and Cara carrying Tess' weapons, bow, dagger, and sword. We make it back to the Academy within 1 minute. (Underworlders have speed) Matthew lets our closest friends know what happened and Cara goes to drop off Tess' weapons. I go straight to the infirmary.
I notice that Amanda is there. I tell both Amanda and Ms. Baker, what happened. She quickly stops whatever it was she was doing. I lay Tess down on the bed.
"Okay Nathan, I need you to get out. Amanda you too."
"No, nurse I need to stay, I have to-"
"Nathan, out now. Amanda."- she says firmly.
As Amanda and I walk out everyone was arriving. Aaron, Ryder, Kristen, Ryan, Chloe, Cara, Matthew, and yes, even Edwin.
"NATHAN!! Were you not capable of protecting Tess!!- Edwin yelled at me
"It wasn't my fault!! Everything happened so fast. What would you have done Edwin?" - I ask him angrily
"I would've done something, something to stop her!"
"And let Cara die?!"- I reply
"Of course not!"
"Don't lie Edwin, I know you want me dead."
"Stay out of my head Cara!"
"Well you should learn how to put up a mind block!"- she yells back
"Stop. Arguing won't help."- Chloe says as she gets between them.
"The headmasters are coming."-Ryder points out. All 3 headmasters, Mr.
Moore; Lycan, Ms. Reyes; Demoness, and Mr. Hale; Vampire.
