CHAPTER 606: [Bonus chapter] PASS!
[Zhu Old Residence]
"They got him." Dominic heaved a sigh of relief before he chugged down the remaining whiskey in his glass. He placed the glass on the bedside table, turning his head on the other side of the bed where his wife was reading the same book Sebastian had read.
"Moose said he's safe now," he added, waiting for his wife's reaction. "And the answer to your question, Tiger, is in the nearby city."
Heaven's brows rose as she slowly turned her head to him. "Well, that sucks. I was hoping he was in a farther place."
"That's already far from the warehouse where they took Axel," Dominic stressed, still confused about how Tiger got to help Moose with that distance.
"Still not far enough to break his record."
"I'm... confused," Dominic admitted. "What kind of record does he need to break?"
"Hmm... darling, do you know Tiger can shoot you even if you're out of the country?"
"He can?"
"Haha! I'm joking. I'm just messing with you." Heaven laughed out loud at the reaction she saw on her husband's face for the first time. "But Tiger's precision is his strength. As long as he has a map and a general idea of the location, he can shoot us here even if he's in the city mall."
Dominic stared at his wife blankly while processing her words, as if he needed more time to absorb that information. His wife already mentored him on how to deal with her men and where they specialized. However, she didn't mention Tiger's special skill.
"Didn't you say he's better in close combat?" he asked after pondering.
"I did, but that's because he preferred that. But among my men, he got the best marksmanship."
Again, Dominic was rendered speechless. He knew his wife had a lot of confidence in Tiger and after observing him, Dominic was certain Tiger was very skilled. Therefore, he made him the head of security.
"You... scare me more now," he admitted under his breath, watching her furrow her brows. "Bear is strong and can rip people apart with his bare hands. Joker can access even the heavily secured central intelligence. Princess can run after people even if she is injured and manages to catch them. Gray is also a reliable all-rounder and Fig can eat nonstop all day. Now, this, with Tiger."
Heaven blinked. "I didn't know Fig's appetite alarms you."
"It does. He makes the chef work to the bones." Dominic breathed out as he ran his fingers through his hair. "And to think these people were just underlings..."
He trailed off as he slowly lifted his eyes back to his wife. "It makes me wonder if these monstrous and skilled people are simply underlings. What kind of boss do they have for them to listen to her when their skills alone are enough to make a name for themselves?"
Listening to Dominic's genuine admittance, the corner of her mouth curled up into a smug smirk. "I'm not as strong as Bear and Princess, and I'm not as precise as Tiger. I'm also not as greedy as Moose, nor I am as sick as Joker. I also can't top Fig's appetite and Gray's flexibility."
"But I have this." Heaven tapped her chest, pointing at her heart. "It's something they don't have. You don't have to be strong to make them listen, you know? You just need to have a heart to command them."
Silence befell the two of them, staring at each other in silence. Heaven had this gentle smile while Dominic's blank reaction didn't change.
"You know that's nonsense," he said monotonously. "Not now, Hera. I'm mentally busy at the moment."
