CHAPTER 341: Where's that damn clown?

Meanwhile...

"Hmm..."

Gray arched his brows as he glanced at his side. Currently, the bodyguards working for Dominic were scattered in the hospital, and their small units were stationed just right outside the establishment.

"What are you thinking?" he asked Tiger as the latter kept humming loudly as if the latter was thinking deeply. "You kept humming and doing those strange noises."

"I'm reconsidering my employment."

"Huh?"

Tiger smacked his lips, dropping his hand from his chin. "Come to think of it, we applied for this job because of that damn Moose. He kept talking about this girl and her resemblance to a certain person, but so far, I didn't find any joy in this job. Well, aside from the tempting paycheck, it's pretty boring. And now, the girl is dead."

"Oh."

"I don't like this feeling too." Tiger let out a sigh, snapping his eyes back to the establishment. "I hate hospitals."

Gray pressed his lips, eyes on his colleague. Of course, they had this unpleasant memory about hospitals, especially with their last memory of a particular facility.

"So, are you going to resign?" asked Gray out of pure curiosity.

"Why are you asking me?" Tiger arched a brow, setting his attention back to his colleague. "Don't tell me you're planning to stay?"

"I haven't thought about that much right now. Considering everyone was busy, I don't think it'll get approved easily."

"Oh."

"The Zhu family will be busy with the funeral, so I'll use this time to reconsider my employment as well."

"I'll miss you two then." This time, the Fig, who was with them, chimed in. He was busily munching on a biscuit, darting his eyes between Gray and Tiger. "I like the daily menus and I don't think I will find any job that offers such benefits."

"Sometimes, I think you will throw me under the bus if someone bribed you with food," Tiger said.

Fig shrugged. "As long as it's worth it."

"Damn piggy." Tiger snapped his tongue but was not surprised at Fig's response. He would do the same to them, after all.

"Anyway, I haven't seen the old man since the situation broke out." Gray broached, looking around their surrounding.

There were a few bodyguards working under their same employer around, some hospital staff going in and out, and civilians. It looked ordinary and peaceful, but then he caught a few officers heading to the building.

"Dang... until now, I'm not used to this," said Tiger as he also had his eyes on the officers. "Back then, they wouldn't just walk past me. Somehow, this feels like an insult now."

"You're just crazy, that's why," Gray remarked, watching the officer's head straight to the entrance without even casting the three of them a look. "This is what she wanted. It's amazing how her plans succeeded."

Tiger opened his mouth to say something crazy, but he ended up shutting his mouth again. There was no point in recalling the person who had given them the chance to start anew. A life that each of them wasn't used to.

"Say... now that I think about it, do you think if she was given a chance to start such a menial life, would she feel bored about it?" this time, Fig couldn't help but wonder since the topic was already up on the table. "Considering how wild she was, I guess not."
