CHAPTER 431: Cray
SLAM!
Silas panted for air, holding the door still. His teeth were clenched and his heart was racing to all the running and adrenaline surging throughout his every nerve.
"That bitch..." he let out a scoff, double-locking the door before tilting his head to the slim glass window beside the door. "Hah."
The moment he peeked at the window that was on either side of the door, he caught Heaven sauntering toward the door. Heaven bent slightly, ruffling Mercy's head with a devious smile. When Mercy licked her hand and rested on the side, Heaven straightened her back. She faced the slim window where he stood, looking at him with a crafty smirk.
'This damn wench...'Silas mentally laughed, watching her advance in his direction until she was standing in front of him.
Knock knock.
Heaven tapped at the glass with the fork she was carrying, making him arch his brows. Just when he thought she was going to say anything, Heaven kept the fork's end on the glass, only to scratch the glass with it.
'Argh!' Silas clenched his teeth, taking a step back as the sound made his teeth wobble.
Scratch...
Pinching his one ear, Silas kept his eyes on the woman standing on the other side of the window. Heaven kept a straight face while scratching the window as if she was immune to the ear-splitting noise.
"Haha..." she laughed as she stopped after several seconds, tapping the fork on the glass lightly. "I didn't know you could run so fast. I think you just broke the Guinness record today."
"Hah..." the corner of his mouth curled up, miffed at the obvious ridicule.
At this moment, Heaven truly seemed deranged. If anyone else was seeing her, she would surely make them run away. How could this woman bring that black panther into the north wing and let it run around? Does she know why Mercy was kept in the greenhouse and in that area alone? And why only Butler Fu and a few people were allowed to be there?
'It's that damn old hag's fault,' came a thought in his mind as his countenance slowly turned sharp and menacing.
Silas sauntered toward the window once again, standing in front of it to see her up close. Heaven briefly raised her brows, biting her bottom lips with eyes swirling with blood lust.
"Are you happy now?" he asked quietly, and his voice to the other side sounded muffled. "Laugh now, Heaven Liu. But I won't forget about it."
"Good." Heaven suddenly slammed her palm against the transparent glass, leaning forward. "Don't ever dare forget about this, Silas."
Her lips parted, fluttering her eyelashes ever so slowly. Yet, the sharp glint in her eyes was enough to send a chill down anyone's spine.
"Crazy bitch..." he scowled under his breath, only to make her smirk stretch.
"Yes, I'm that crazy bitch." Heaven leaned even closer, taunting him. "You're lucky that Grandma is safe. The next time you pull off something like that, I will really make you Mercy's dinner."
She drew her head back, and an innocent smile replaced the initial look on her face. "Don't forget whose palm you're standing on, Silas. You might end up forcing that hand to clutch and crush you in it." Her eyes squinted as her smile stretched from ear to ear.
"See you around, cousin~!" Heaven waved happily before turning around, holding her hand behind her. "Mercy, let's go. I brought your dinner to the pavilion."
