CHAPTER 226: I aggressively want her
Primo kept his eyes on the entrance, even after Heaven crossed the threshold. His eyelids drooped, leaning back comfortably.
"Heaven Liu." The corner of his mouth curled up into a smirk, licking his upper lips. "How did she know we lived in the same building?"
"Hey, I'm sorry that took a while." Paula returned with an apologetic expression, sitting back in her place. "Heaven left?"
Paula raised her brows as she set her eyes back to Primo, only to see him staring at the entrance. "Primo? Primo?"
"I'm sorry, Miss Shen." Primo snapped his eyes ever so tenderly, making his chair slide back as he stood up. "I forgot I have an important appointment tonight. I'll tell my men to pick you up and drop you off at your place."
Primo picked up the napkin Heaven used and placed it on the plate before pouring the wine on the same plate. When he carried the plate full of nothing but poison, he faced Paula squarely.
"Have a good night, Miss Shen." He tipped his head down slightly. "I'll keep in touch."
"Primo, what are you? You're leaving me here?" Paula also stood up, disappointed.
"I'm afraid I have to." Primo sighed. "Please understand. I am a businessman and things like this happened."
Her frown deepened, gazing down at the plate in his hand. However, Paula didn't wonder why he poured the wine in it and the napkin. She didn't even wonder why there was a flower on top of his food. All Paula could think about was her disappointment.
"Please, Miss Shen. It breaks my heart if you frown like that." Primo walked toward her, tilting his head while pinching her chin to raise her head. "If it wasn't important, I wouldn't leave you here."
"But..."
"I will go to you right away, even if I am out of the country." Primo blinked, sporting a reluctant expression. "This is just really important."
Paula bit her inner bottom lip. "You're not leaving because of her, hmm?"
"Hmm?"
"Heaven." Paula huffed deeply. "You approached me because of Heaven. So, you're not leaving just to follow her, right?"
"Haha!" Primo chuckled, placing down the plate. He then planted his hands on her shoulders, turning her body so she was facing him. "Miss Shen, I was a fan of Heaven Liu until I met you. Meeting her tonight was a surprise, but you are right."
Primo bent over to look at her at eye level. "Heaven Liu... she's quite a disappointment. You are still better than hers — much prettier and more mature."
"Really?" her brows rose slightly as her eyes sparkled with anticipation.
"Hundred percent." Primo nodded reassuringly. "This is not about her — I don't care about Heaven Liu. If only I can, I will stay with you longer. Actually, I wish the night will not end whenever I'm with you. However, you deserve the world. That is why I am more motivated to work, so I can show you how vast this world was."
Paula pressed her lips into a thin line, moved by his words. Looking at him up close and seeing the sincerity on his dashing face made her heart flutter. Primo might not be as wealthy as Dominic Zhu, but he could afford things Paula couldn't. If Primo worked even harder, he might become even better than Dominic Zhu.
Who knows?
"Fine," she sighed, softening to his persuasion. "I have to meet my manager, anyway. I'll just tell her to pick me up here."
