CHAPTER 766: Write a good script for me

"Isn't that right, Frank?"

Dragon narrowed his eyes as he held Leo's challenging gaze. After a second, the corner of his lips slowly curled up, amused at this man's deceptive skills and how quickly he adapted to the situation.

"That is correct," Dragon nodded, snapping his eyes at his wife. "It was Leo's wish to spare you from this even further."

"But..." Hera bit her bottom lip as she sighed deeply. "How is that possible?"

"Hera," Dragon squeezed her shoulder mildly. "What matters is that you are okay now, and Leo will be fine."

"See?" Leo smiled. "I'm fine, so don't feel disheartened anymore."

Hera assessed the reassuring smile plastered on Leo's face. She then looked up at her husband, only to see his smile.

"Fine," she conceded. "I'll try."

Both men smiled in satisfaction, but what she failed to notice was the glint in their eyes.

"I know you want to catch up with our dearest friend, but it's getting late," Dragon remarked. "Let me help you to your room."

Hera wore a short smile and nodded.

"Leo, thank you for your time," she expressed as she gazed back at the man. "I'll be back tomorrow. Let's continue our chat, then."

"Mhm," Leo hummed and nodded.

With that being said, Dragon assisted Hera from her chair. He let her hold his arm as they walked away. Dragon glanced over his shoulder before reaching the door while Leo's smile remained.

"Good night, Leo." Hera looked back for the last time before Dragon closed the door.

Leo's smile remained until the door closed. His smile faded as his eyes sharpened. He peeled his gaze from the door, setting them on the high ceiling.

"Hera Cruel..." he whispered, remembering the name Dragon uttered. "You don't seem like a bad person, but I'm sorry. You're the reason I'm in here. So, you've got to get me out of here."

When Hera and Dragon arrived in her room, the maids quickly helped her wash up. Dragon remained in her room to spend dinner with her. Sitting around the table near each other, Hera hummed.

"Frank?" she called as she swallowed her food. "What's Leo like?"

Dragon arched a brow as he pretended to think about it. "He's a nice person."

"Is he your best friend?" she asked, head tilted to the side. "From what he said, we seemed to have a wonderful friendship."

"What did he tell you?"

"Huh?"

"What did he tell you?" he repeated sternly. "What makes you think we have a wonderful friendship?"

"Frank, why are you raising your voice?"

"I'm not," Dragon breathed out deeply. "I'm just curious."

Hera bit her lips slightly as she sighed. "He didn't say much. All I know is that I have something to do with his situation. I feel bad, and hearing that he didn't want me to feel guilty about it makes it even worse. So, I assumed we had a great friendship to make such a sacrifice."

"Frank, thank you for taking care of us," she continued as she reached for his hand. "Because of you, Leo and I were still alive. It's not a surprise that Leo protects you."
