CHAPTER 396: [Bonus chapter]What did he do?

"That damn brat. How dare he show up here after what he did to Axel? Surely, he's taking after his father. Hmph!"

Deep lines appeared between Heaven's brows at Grandma Zhu's grumpy mumbling.

'Brat?' she wondered, instinctively thinking of Leon Zhu's son, Silas Zhu. 'What did he do to Axel?'

Her mind immediately rewound the happenings from the previous months. Heaven could only think of one thing that happened to Axel, and that was he got some problems with his company. It didn't interest her that much since Axel needed to do something else other than bug her every single day. Still, Dominic vaguely gave her an idea, but not enough information for her to worry about.

"Uh?" Grandma Zhu arched a brow and then turned her head, only to see Heaven standing a few steps from her. Her grumpy countenance turned into delight when she saw her granddaughter-in-law.

"Little Heaven, you're here?" Grandma Zhu planted her hands on the armrest, snapping Heaven back to the current lapse.

"Grandma," she called as she hurried to the old madam's side, holding the latter's arm to support her. "Butler Fu said you were waiting for me, so I came. I knocked, but no one answered, so I came to check if everything was alright. I hope you didn't mind, Grandma."

"Haha. Of course, I don't." Grandma Zhu chuckled, tapping Heaven's hand that was supporting her. "It's just that Grandma is getting old. I probably didn't hear you."

Heaven smiled, assisting the old madam to the set of couches. Once Grandma Zhu was seated, Heaven sat on the long couch on Grandma Zhu's right.

"When Dominic called me the other day and told me you were coming, I got so excited," Grandma Zhu expressed with a hearty chuckle. "But then, knowing my grandson, he might change his mind. So, I told Butler Fu to wait for you outside and make sure my little Heaven goes straight to me. He might not let you go throughout the party if I didn't plan ahead of time."

A short laugh escaped Heaven's curled lips, assessing the old woman sitting on the one-seater couch. She secretly bit her tongue, telling herself this wasn't the perfect time to ask about Silas Zhu.

"So, your husband is already entertaining the guests?" asked Grandma Zhu, making Heaven's brows elevate a bit.

"Yes, Grandma. He didn't want to let me go earlier, but I guess Butler Fu managed to coax him."

"Butler Fu is such a great man." Grandma Zhu nodded approvingly. "Have I told you he had been working for me even before I got married?"

"Really?"

"My husband used to be a little jealous of him, but that fool is only scared of his own ghost."

Heaven pressed her lips into a thin line, keeping her thoughts to herself. Although she wasn't the person to pry, she asked Dominic about his grandfather. All Dominic said was that he never met his grandfather and was not interested in him.

When she asked why, Dominic only answered because his grandfather was a womanizer. Hearing that comment, Heaven immediately understood she didn't want to touch the subject further. Dominic was fine with telling her the things he knew, but she wasn't that interested in the dead. Thus, she changed the topic.

This was her first time hearing Grandma Zhu's husband from the woman herself, though.

"Ugh... what an unpleasant topic to start the conversation." Grandma Zhu hissed before she smiled gently at Heaven. "Little Heaven, how was your trip here?"
