CHAPTER 731: Mommy and Basti time
Heaven was relieved that Dominic's shock in the Art Department had occurred a day before the weekend, sparing her from facing her colleagues. Instead, she put her work concerns behind her and focused on spending time with her children.
Miracle, who was quite the sleepyhead and loved her naps, provided Heaven and Sebastian with some quality bonding time. Dominic stayed with Miriam to look after Miracle, allowing Heaven and Sebastian to enjoy some time together. Heaven prepared snacks for Sebastian and accompanied him to the pool area.
"Mommy, look what Uncle Gray taught me," Sebastian beamed, swiping his fingers across his tablet. "See? I can access some clips taken from satellites in outer space!"
Heaven glanced at the tablet and then at Sebastian. "Wow," she mused, patting his head gently. "Sebastian, is this what Uncle Gray has been teaching you?"
"Mhm! He's also teaching me other things, like accessing government agencies for emergency purposes. And look at this app. Uncle Gray gave me a small device I could carry around. He said I should press the button if I need him, and he'll come to help me!" Sebastian happily shared, arms wide open. "I've used the device a few times, and I think it's working."
Heaven couldn't help but chuckle, thinking about Gray's reaction whenever Sebastian pressed the emergency button he had given her son. She propped her knuckles against her jaw, her eyes filled with amusement as she looked at her son.
"Basti, do you like Uncle Gray?" she asked out of curiosity, and Sebastian nodded. "Who do you like better, Uncle Gray or Uncle Axel?"
"Hmm, that's a tough question, Mommy." Sebastian rubbed his chin, humming thoughtfully. "Uncle Gray is cool, while Uncle Axel is nice. Aha! I know who I like the most!"
Her brows rose in anticipation, only for her face to twitch upon hearing his answer.
"Uncle Princess!" he announced with a big grin. "Uncle Axel and Uncle Gray always refer to her as 'he, so I call her Uncle sometimes."
"Sweetie," Heaven chuckled, surprised by his choice. "That's not nice."
"But Uncle Princess said it's okay, and to be fair, she's manlier than the two of them. Those are her exact words," he said, shrugging and chuckling playfully. "Why are you asking, Mommy?"
"Nothing, sweetie," she shook her head. "I just thought that your uncles and Auntie Princess really like Basti and Miracle."
"They've been very nice to us," Sebastian agreed.
Her smile remained, and her eyes softened. "Basti, do you miss your grandparents? I think it's been a while since we visited them."
"I miss them, but I'm having fun here," Sebastian reassured her. "And I like staying with Miracle. Once she's older, I'll teach her everything I know."
"Oh?"
"Yes! I'll learn many things, so Mommy and Daddy won't always worry about us!" Sebastian's words made her raise her brows. "When I grow up, I'll take care of Mommy and Miracle."
"Basti...." Heaven's eyes softened as she caressed his plump cheeks with her thumb. Now that she thought about it, she hadn't been spending enough time with her children. Even though Dominic and Heaven always made time in the evening, it still wasn't enough.
"Come here, sweetie," she said, holding Sebastian's arm as he jumped out of his seat. She assisted him and sat him down on her lap, wrapping her arms around his small waist.
"If Basti will take care of Mommy and Miracle, what about your dad?" she asked playfully, watching his lips stretch from ear to ear.
"He will take care of me!" Sebastian replied enthusiastically. "I'll take care of you and Miracle, and then Daddy will take care of me."
