CHAPTER 531: Aye, aye, captain!

"Did you find it?"

"Yes, here's the application form." Dane handed a thin pile of documents to the backseat where Dominic sat. "The new employee had an emergency and had to rush home. I asked security to double-check for any anomaly, but nothing suspicious came back. I already sent people to double-check, though."

Dominic nodded as he listened, but kept his eyes on the folder in his hand. When he opened the folder, he wasted no time skimming through the application form. This application form was from someone who got into the art department just recently; the same person Heaven bumped into and the root of this misunderstanding.

"Uh, sir? Are we letting the young madam stay in the art department?" Dane asked after another minute, staring at Dominic in the backseat. "I mean, it's not ethical if we let her use this employee's identity. She might face charges and it won't be good for the company."

"Make her a new application and then personally approve it."

"Huh?"

Dominic closed the folder as there wasn't anything to look at anymore. He lifted his gaze to Dane, keeping a straight front. "Heaven said she can't leave the art department because the employees there would be left to tend to themselves."

"But --"

"Just do what I tell you." Dominic placed the folder on the vacant side of the backseat. "It's also good she's just around the company."

Dane sported an ugly frown, thinking having Heaven in the company wasn't beneficial to the company. She would just waste the company's resources and benefits; just another employee whom they had to pay for being lazy like Tiger! But then again, she was in the art department. She wouldn't distract his boss, right?

"Alright." Dane cleared his throat as he settled on his seat. He snapped his eyes at the windshield, frowning deeply at the sight of Tiger approaching. "Why is he late again this time? Don't tell me he just woke up from a nap?"

"Don't start it," Dominic advised, checking his wristwatch. "There's still time, so it's fine."

Thinking that he had a meeting to attend outside the company, Dominic slipped his hand into his pocket. He didn't know his wife would be visiting the company today, only for her to end up being mistaken as an errand girl. Therefore, Dominic didn't have time to cancel his prior commitment.

Heaven giggled as she read her husband's message. "In the end, he still accepted I'm now a working girl. Heh." She happily held her phone with both hands, typing a cheesy message to her husband.

"Hey --"

"Ah!" She jolted at the sudden voice near her, almost throwing her phone in surprise. Looking up, the corner of her mouth curved down. "Boss, has anyone told you that coming up to people like that is rude? What if I have a heart condition?"

"Tsk. This willful girl." Mr. Yang clicked his tongue, but somehow, he was getting used to this newcomer's personality. "We're going to have a company dinner later — the higher-ups want to treat us for dinner. You should come."
