CHAPTER 741: Hundred percent positive it's him
When Heaven found out that Leo Wu had gone missing, she immediately called her husband. Dominic was helping with the investigation mostly to make him a more effective candidate in the upcoming election. In no time, authorities came to the hospital. The medical staff were also notified of what happened, conducting their search and investigation before the authorities arrived.
From what she heard, they caught footage of two male nurses wheeling Leo Wu with the bed, heading to the hospital's rooftop. According to the hospital, they were expecting a chopper, as a VIP patient would be transported to their care through a helicopter. Therefore, the helipad was open for that purpose.
Who would have thought the notice of use of the helipad was used to abduct Leo Wu?
"Miss Liu."
Heaven snapped her eyes, moving them upward. There, standing two steps from the waiting area she was sitting on, was Leo's manager.
"Thank you for informing us about the incident and giving your statement to the authorities," said the manager with a bitter smile. "They said they'd find him and track the helicopter's route."
"I see." She nodded in understanding, setting her eyes on the wall before her. "Do you plan on giving out a public statement?"
"I still have to call for a meeting with the management."
"Keep it a secret for now."
"Huh?" Leo's manager raised his brows, confused. "Are you afraid that the media..."
"I'm saying this for him and everyone." Heaven slowly set her eyes on him before she rose from her seat. "It's best to keep this matter private as much as possible. You don't want people speculating on why Leo is being targeted by some dangerous people, right?"
She glanced at the person coming from behind Leo's manager before setting her attention back to the latter. "That's just my opinion. I hope you reconsider."
"Ah... yes." Leo's manager lowered his head, only to look back when he heard Dominic's voice. "Mr. Zhu."
"How are you holding up, Manager Lee?" asked Dominic as he stopped two steps from the man.
"I still don't know, Mr. Zhu. But for now, I have to settle things with the management and with the hospital."
"If you need any help, my men are here to assist." Dominic offered with a short smile. "We're helping with the investigation. We'll keep you posted."
"Thank you, Mister Zhu."
"I also reached out to the Zyon Networks." Dominic nodded reassuringly. "I asked for an information lockdown, so you have time to rearrange your thoughts."
Manager Lee pressed his lips tightly and bowed slightly. "Thank you."
"We'll be on our way, Manager Lee." Heaven offered Leo's manager a smile and tilted her head down slightly. Manager Lee also lowered his head while Heaven walked past him.
A deep exhale slipped past Manager Lee's mouth as he closed his eyes momentarily. He then looked back, only to see Heaven and Dominic walking side by side.
"Just what is going on, Leo?" he mumbled, peeling his eyes from their backs to the door of Leo's ward. "Why is this happening to you?"
Everyone who worked with Leo and was still working for him knew just how kind the man was. Despite his unstoppable career and fame, Leo remained humble. He was a simple man; the type who would rather quietly step away from someone's way instead of putting himself in a confrontational scenario. He also didn't have bad habits or hobbies like gambling, drinking, or using illegal substances.
