It was just a normal day, except it also wasn't for a fellow cry baby. Choir was getting ready to go to a party, but not an real life one. She was heading to an Animal Crossing party, more specifically a Valentine's fashion show. It was being hosted by a streamer she just started being active in again recently, and she was really excited. Plus, it was her first time being able to go to an event with the community ever since getting Nintendo Switch Online, so that made it even more special. Today is just gonna be so much fun.
She was looking over her outfits for the fashion show, making sure that she had pacifiers on all of them, for it was a requirement to have one on each outfit in the cry baby community. Luckily she remembered to put pacifiers on each outfit. She was also making sure that the outfits she planned out was truly representing the categories for the fashion show. She felt like some of them weren't, but no matter what, she was going to be having fun. She will make sure that she has fun, and the streamer and her moderators will make sure that she is safe while having fun.
Soon, she was fully ready for the fashion show. Now all that was left to do is wait until the streamer went live, and then soon, head to her island and strut the runway with the other besties. She was nervous, but she was also excited. She's known this community for about 10 months now, so she is definitely not going into this blind.
Soon, she saw the notification that the streamer went live, and she quickly tapped on it to get in the live. Maybe she could be the first to cry today, she's so fast with tapping on the notification. Although, despite how fast she was with getting on the stream, she wasn't first to cry on the stream. Another bestie was first, which she gave a hug to them, and they hugged her back. They just hung out with the other besties until the streamer came on the screen, just talking about random things that came to mind.
Choir had to step out about 10 minutes into the stream, and so she walked out of her room to do what she needed to do. She also told her mom that she was going to be doing the fashion show with the besties, so she will be busy, which her mom understood that and didn't say a thing. When she came back from being out of her room, the streamer was talking but not on screen, and Choir got really excited. That meant that they were going to be partying soon, and that they could go hang out with the streamer on her island and show off their outfits for the fashion show. Choir was glad that she wasn't the only one being so hyped about this.
Everyone in the chat was also spreading hype about today, which she joined in on. What is there to not be hyped about here? Unless you're a hater of Animal Crossing and friends coming together as one to play together, there's so many things to celebrate right now. If there were haters like that, we would hope that they would just enjoy the stream and just lurk, or if they chat, they keep things positive.
Usually the streamer likes to take the first hour of stream to just chat with the chat, so they all chatted about random things. The streamer talked about today's agenda and told us some random stories during the first hour, which that was fun to hear. Choir was mainly talking about how excited she was for the fashion show, and that they have been preparing all week (which they really had been working on it all week). They didn't even work on their island whenever they were on, they were just focused on making their outfits for today, that's how prepared she was and is. The streamer was excited to see Choir's outfits for when she came over, which made Choir even more excited. It was her first time being in the streamer's stream fully and fully paying attention, so the streamer encouraging her and saying that made her feel so much more comfy. She could see herself being in this community for a long time. Not just because of the encouragement, but because of the kindness of both the streamer and the friends in the stream.
Soon, the one hour of just chatting with the chat was up, and the streamer switched her screen over to ACNH so she could get ready. She had chosen a pink and white outfit to fit the Valentine's themed fashion show, and she looked so pretty in it! Choir couldn't wait to see it in person when she got to her island, and soon, she was going to see it. She was also going to get to see her island in person instead of on her iPad screen, so that'll be exciting. She always admired the streamer's islands, so she was so excited to see it on her TV vs on her iPad.
The streamer opened a que for everyone to join for the fashion show, and Choir joined it immediately for the possibility of being in the first group. She didn't care what group she was in though, she was just excited. A lot of other besties joined the que for the fashion show, and Choir recognized some of the names, which made her feel easier, because maybe that would mean that her group would possibly be filled with people she knows the most. One thing she has discovered about herself is that when there is a group full of people she doesn't know, either in real life or online, she gets anxiety and doesn't feel like going anymore. She thinks it's because when she's familiar with whoever's in the group, she will have a better time.
Surprisingly, Choir got in the first group, and she was in a group full of people she recognized the users of, so she was really excited. The streamer said to head to our airports so we can prepare for the dodo code being sent to us one at a time, and Choir did just that. She got to where you would need to put the dodo code in for the island and just put down her controller, patiently waiting for the dodo code to be sent. The streamer was in the midst of getting it and sending it to a moderator of hers, so it'll be soon enough, but of course there was no rush. You never want to rush anyone no matter what, so she was patient.
Soon Choir was sent the dodo code to fly in to the streamer's island, and she typed it in to the dodo code area of the screen. She got worried that the internet would suddenly crash as she tried to head to the island, but nope, everything was fine. The name of the streamer's island came up on her screen, allowing her to be able to start flying in. She clicked "let's fly!", and soon, she was departing, about to go to the island. Before she knew it, Orville was saying to have a good flight and to ask "what would dodos do?", and was was walking off to the plane to head there. She squealed in excitement, smiling. She was getting even more excited to be doing this with them, and she was even more excited about seeing everyone's outfits.
A minute or two later, Choir could see the flyover of the island, and she was amazed. It looked amazing! The streamer has been doing such an amazing job with the island, and she couldn't wait to see the progress of it more as she tuned in! She could see the runway itself, and she was just amazed at the work. Soon she landed, and the streamer asked her to line up on the dock near the entrance, and she followed the instruction, standing at the beginning of the dock just off of the airport door. The streamer went to her to greet her in game, and she complimented her coming in outfit, which she thanked. Man this was going to be so much fun Choir could already tell.
