This is a completely different ending to either of the endings you can experience in the game Life is Strange. This would be like as if Max was able to save Chloe from getting shot without having to time travel backwards. I will also not talk about the topics talked about in the game because I do not feel comfortable with that. I will also not be including cuss words, but I will do alternatives for those kinds of words.
Max was walking out of school after her classes for the day. She wanted to go find Chloe immediately. She didn't recognize her at first, but she realized soon after she pulled the fire alarm and went outside to her class that it was her best friend. She couldn't believe it. They hadn't seen each other in 5 years. She didn't want to have seen her again like this, but at least they were somewhat reunited. She could remember where Chloe lived, and she went to the bus stop and waited for it to come. She wanted to see her so badly now that Max had seen her.
One thing was bothering her though, and that was the conversation that Chloe and Nathan were having. They were talking about things that shouldn't even be talked about at school, let alone anywhere. Max didn't remember Chloe like this. She remembered the Chloe that always played pirates with her and just acted silly in general, not the Chloe that talked about that.
Soon she was on the bus and she told the bus driver where to take her. The bus driver nods at her and tells her to sit down. She does what she is told, sitting at a seat near the back of the bus. She looked out the window, sighing. Boy was she excited about this. She couldn't contain it. Who wouldn't be so excited to see their best friend after so long?
Soon they were at Chloe's house, and Max got off the bus. The bus drove out of sight, and Max sighed happily, turning to the house. She was so ready to see Joyce and Chloe again. She teared up a little bit remembering that she couldn't see Chloe's dad William. He had died just a few days before Max moved away from Arcadia Bay. She didn't get to properly say goodbye to him, let alone Chloe and Joyce before moving away from them. She wasn't proud of it, but there wasn't really anything she could do about it.
She walked up to the door and knocked. She suddenly got a little nervous, but she didn't understand why. She was about to see her best friend for the first time in 5 years.
Joyce opened the door and she smiled. "Max Caulfield. I never thought we would see you again."
Max smiled. "Hey Joyce. I couldn't abandon y'all. I know I haven't contacted Chloe in 5 years, but I would never abandon my best friend. I missed her so much."
"And she missed you," Joyce says. "Come on inside. She'll be so excited to see you. She's just upstairs in her room. Do you remember the way to it?"
Max nods, smiling. "It's been 5 years, but I still remember the way to her room." She went up the stairs and went to the door that lead to Chloe's room. She felt shivers go down her body, and she shook them off. She was about to reunite with Chloe Price, her childhood best friend. She gently knocks on the door and then waits.
She heard the door open, and she looks up, smiling as she saw Chloe stand in front of her.
Chloe didn't say anything. She just pulled Max into a huge hug and Max took it, starting to cry happily. She was so happy to see her.
Chloe was sniffling. She was trying not to cry herself, but Max knew that she would try to not cry in front of her because, based on how she was acting earlier in the school bathroom, she has changed so much since 5 years ago. She has blue hair now, and is selling or buying things that she shouldn't really be buying or selling.
Chloe let go of her. "Dude I didn't think that you would come back here even though we saw each other earlier in that crappy bathroom. How did you remember where we lived anyway?"
"I could just remember it because I've been here so much," Max says, smiling.
Chloe giggled a little bit. That's the Chloe that Max knows and loves. "I thought you would say something like that. Well, please come in. We have so much to catch up on."
Max nods. "We do. We have a hecka lot of things to catch up on."
She walked into her room and closed the door behind them. Boy was she excited to catch up with her best friend!
Chloe sat her down and she sat next to her on her bed. "Dude I'm so happy you came back! I've missed you so much! What made you move back here? Are your parents with you?"
Max giggled at the questions. "No my parents didn't move here with me, they're still in Seattle. They didn't want me to have to deal with them being there while I was here for school, so they stayed behind there. They wanted me to pursue my dreams of being a photographer, so when I got accepted to the school here, they were so excited for me. They had said that they didn't want to come with me to here just so I had freedom, especially since I'm 18 now."
Chloe nods. "Hopefully I get to see them soon though. I had missed them too honestly."
"I'm sure they'll visit soon enough," Max said. "They said that they wanted to visit a week into me being here, so they'll be here before we know it."
She nods. "Alright. Man, I can't believe you're back here. I was so shocked when I saw you in that bathroom at the school. I didn't think I would see you again after you left 5 years ago."
Max giggled. "Honestly I thought I wouldn't come back here either, but here I am. I am mainly here for the school so I can be a photographer. You know I've always wanted to be one since I was a little kid, from me taking tons of photos of us growing up."
She nods. "Yeah. You've always had a knack for taking photos of everything for the memories. I always liked that about you though. Sure it made you look like a nerd, but it made me happy that you were happy."
She giggled a little more as Chloe called her a nerd. "Hey, don't call me a nerd. But yeah, I'm happy to be here to pursue my photography dreams. I hope to stay here until I graduate from the school, but we will have to see. I was the one who pulled the fire alarm back there, so I could get in trouble for that."
Chloe rolled her eyes. "I doubt you will get in trouble. You saved my butt back there by doing that."
Max shrugged her shoulders. "We will have to see! Well, let's just hang out and catch up more. I've missed you more than you could know."
Chloe nods, and they started talking more. Man it felt so good to reunite with her best friend! What will they be up to now? They will have to find out.
