"So... life with my quote on quote 'parents' was rough to be honest. They never really treated me right, and I am surprised that I stayed for so long. I had considered running away tons of times, but I always scared myself out of doing it because I know what they would do if I did." She teared up. "They never did anything physical to me, but they were doing tons of mental and emotional damage. It was just a lot for me. Today though, I never thought I would be finding my biological dad at my new school, let alone finding out that I was kidnapped this whole time."

Lucille teared up as she heard all of this. "Sweetie I'm so sorry you had to deal with that for so long. No one should have to deal with that kind of thing ever. We would have never treated you like that if you were with us."

She nods. "Well, I don't have to deal with them anymore right?"

Jack nods. "That's right. You're with us officially. You won't have to see your kidnappers again from now on. We can promise you that."

She nods. "Thank you. I can't believe this all happened today honestly. It was so unexpected, but I'm so happy. I get to be out of an awful situation, which will be better for me mentally."

Lucille nods. "I imagine it's a lot to take in at once, and I know it'll take a minute to get used to it. We will help you adjust for as long as you need to."

Amelia felt a little overwhelmed about it, but she nods. "Thank you." She wasn't hesitant to say the next thing. "I love you guys."

Lucille and Jack both teared up hearing that. "We love you too sweetie." They both said.

*the next day*

Amelia was following Troy to their homeroom classroom, her staying close to him. For some reason she was nervous about going in now that it was known that she was the missing child of Jack's. She was nervous that people would treat her differently because of that fact, but she tried not to think about it too much.

Troy could tell she was nervous. "Hey, it'll be okay. If anyone treats you different because of who you are, they will have to go through me and the others. No one should treat you differently because of that no matter what."

She nods. "Thank you Troy. I'll let you guys know if someone does that or starts bullying me."

They were soon at the classroom and they headed inside. Amelia felt some eyes fall on her as they fully came in, and she gulped. That was what she was afraid of. As she sat down at her seat though, she felt less eyes on her as they turned around. She let out a sigh of relief, getting out an extreme dot to dot book out to do while waiting for class to start. She always did that before classes at her old schools, and that wouldn't change now.

The police had come over the previous night and let her go to her old house to get stuff she wanted to keep from there. Good thing they had come and let her do that, because there was quite a few things she had that she wanted to keep and save. Jack and Lucille had come with her to help her pack everything, which she appreciated so much because she wasn't sure if she could have packed everything without help. One of the many things she wanted to save was her many extreme dot to dot books because she absolutely loves doing those. Despite them not treating her kindly growing up, her "parents" always got her those so she had something to do besides electronic stuff. She wasn't sure if she could take all of her personal electronics with her because of tracking and stuff, but the police helped her disconnect her devices, so now they can be with the Bolton's internet and stuff like that, so she ended up being able to take them. So now she has almost everything that she wanted to save and she was really happy about it. She unfortunately had to leave some things behind, so she was sad about that, but other than that, she was happy to have most things.

She saw Mrs. Darbus come in, but she kept on drawing. She heard her move towards her though and she looked up. "Hi Mrs. Darbus." She smiled softly.

"Hey Miss Bolton," she said. "I'm happy you were found with your real family. I knew you looked so much like Coach Bolton ever since I saw you yesterday, so when I heard that you were found, I was so happy for him and for you. I just wanted to say that I will keep an eye out on everyone to ensure they don't treat you differently because of this. If anyone does, even if it's not in my class, please don't hesitate to let me know so I can take care of it."

She nods. "Troy said the same thing before we came in here, and thank you. I really appreciate being looked out for because in my previous schools, I dealt with really bad bullying."

She felt bad hearing that. "I'm so sorry you dealt with bad bullying in the past. I will make sure that that doesn't happen to you. Please never be afraid to tell me or anyone else either. Here at East High, we help everyone who gets bullied, no matter how minor or severe."

She nods. "Thank you Mrs. Darbus."

She went to her desk and got out the attendance. She did role call real quick, making a mental note to change Amelia's name from Kaylee Walton to Amelia Bolton because she was still written down as that name. When she was done, she started teaching, making Amelia put away her extreme dot to dot book in her backpack and pay attention. She was excited for the day.

*at lunch*

Amelia was following Troy to the table where his friend group sits. He said that everyone in his friend group was really excited to meet her, and so she was convinced to go with him. He said that she was also more than welcome to join the group if she wanted, which she said that she would think about it. It was more than likely that she would accept the offer though, because she had so far struggled to make friends. She knew that it was normal, but it made her feel uneasy, so when he offered that, she was happy.

They got to the table, and everyone looked up seeing them. They saw Amelia and they all started to talk to her at once. That overwhelmed her a little bit, and Troy could tell.

"Guys stop," he said sternly but also gently. "You're overwhelming her. She just met you guys. Give her time to talk to you and get to know you."

Amelia thanked him and she sat down next to a guy who has dark brown hair and brown eyes. He looked over at her, smiling softly. "Hi Amelia. It's nice to meet you. I'm Jason."

She smiled weakly at him. "It's nice to meet you Jason." She looked around at everyone else. Troy had went to sit next to a girl who has black hair and brown eyes, and she had leaned on him immediately. She got curious. Does Troy have a girlfriend?

Troy saw her looking at them and chuckled softly. "Melie this is my girlfriend Gabriella."

Gabriella waved at her, smiling. "It's so nice to finally meet you Amelia. Troy was telling me a lot about you last night when we were on the phone with each other. It made me really excited to meet you, and now here we are."

She smiled weakly. "It's so nice to meet you too. It's so nice to meet all of you. I can't wait to get to know everyone here. I just know I'm gonna have fun with y'all."

They all started eating lunch, all the while talking to Amelia one at a time. Amelia was quickly getting along with Jason and Kelsi, so she knew that they would be best friends in no time. She wouldn't wait for the future here at East High.
