We're All Afraid of Loneliness...

Raquel had just gotten home from school, and she was not okay. She had been broken up with during the school day by her now ex-boyfriend, but that was not all. He had also confessed to cheating, which was why he was breaking up with her, which made things even worse. Like, it's good that he confessed about that, but to do that and break up with her at the same time? That is just a lot at once.

She went to her room and put her stuff down near her bed. She felt tears go down her cheeks and she let them, crying softly so no one could hear her. She didn't want them to know that she was going through this because they have a concert today, and she doesn't want them to worry about her during it. They've been worried about each other during a concert one day (Rydel was going through a rough time one day) and they did not do too well (at least they felt like they didn't do well). She didn't want that to happen again.

She heard a knock on her bedroom door and wiped her eyes with her sleeves. "Come in."

Rydel came in and smiled seeing her. "Hey. How was school?"

She felt herself tear up at that question, looking down.

That worried her immediately. "Did something happen?"

She just broke down right there without thinking, which made Rydel come over and hug her immediately. She took the hug, crying into her shoulder gently. She loved the comfort, but she felt so bad for doing this on a concert day because of the reasons she explained before. She was really upset though, so the comfort was really helping her.

Soon she calmed down, and Rydel gently sat her down on her bed so they could talk. "Sis what's going on? You usually don't do this on concert days."

She sighed. "I was really hoping to not do this today, but since I broke down... I guess I have to talk about it." She teared up again, which made Rydel rub her back in comfort. "Well... I was broken up with..."

Rydel gasped. "Omg sis I'm so sorry. Breakups are the worst."

She nods, sniffling. "He confessed to cheating on me and then broke up with me, which is what made it so much worse..."

She got so angry then. "Wow, what kind of guy would do that? Well, he's missing out on an amazing woman. You deserve so much better than someone who cheats on you."

She nods. She sighed softly, thinking about the others. "The guys are going to be so angry if we tell them about this, so can we not tell them for now?"

She nods. "Yeah we don't have to tell them immediately, or even today. I don't want them to be mad for the concert, because we've had that happen before, and that was not pretty."

She nods. "I know. Maybe tomorrow I'll tell them."

She nods. "Sounds like a plan. Well, I'm gonna go get ready for the concert. Do you need anything before I leave though?"

She shook her head. "Not that I can think of. Thanks Dely."

"Of course," she said, and then walked out, which made Raquel get up and go to her closet and dresser to choose her outfit for the concert. She was ready for it, but she also wasn't. How will it go even though she's going through a breakup? They will have to see.

When she was done getting dressed, she pulled up her notebook that was filled with songs she had wrote over the years, some recorded and some not. She was about to write a song about today, and it was going to be called Repeating Days. She thinks that it'll help her heal from the breakup, but she will have to see.

*At the concert*

They were doing sound check, and they were going over Cali Girls. They hadn't performed that song in a while, so they decided to do it tonight for the concert, which they know that the fans will love. Cali Girls was always a favorite of theirs and the fans.

They were going over the chorus for the first time, and Raquel was struggling. She had became teary eyed during their last song play through for sound check, and she was still teary eyed now. She had been missing some notes on her guitar because of it, which she knows that is probably worrying the band. She rarely missed notes unless something was wrong. Well, there is something wrong, but only one of them knows what it is, that being Rydel. When the part where they go "and Katy Perry wasn't lying when she told you (uh huh)", and her and Rydel do that "uh huh" part, Raquel missed it completely.

That made Ross make the others stop playing and singing and he turned to her. "Sis everything okay? You missed that part of Cali Girls, and you usually love doing that part."

Raquel teared up at that. "Yeah everything's fine. Something was caught in my throat that's all. That's why I missed that cue with me and Rydel."

He nods. He had a feeling something more was wrong with her, but he didn't want to be bothersome about it while they were at the concert venue. "Okay sis. Just know we're here for you whenever you need us."

She nods. "Thanks Ross, I appreciate y'all."

They got back to sound checking Cali Girls, and this time Raquel didn't miss the que with Rydel. She was excited about the concert a little more now.

Soon they were done with sound check, and they were just chilling backstage. Raquel had stepped on the stage for a second to get her water bottle that she left behind accidentally. She was softly singing Repeating Days to herself, which she didn't stop when she came back stage. She wasn't really loud about it, but she was still heard as she came back, so everyone was curious about what she was singing.

Riker came to her. "Raq what's that song you're singing? It isn't a song of ours or a song of yours that we know. Is it a new song?"

She giggled softly at the question. "It is a new song I am working on. I started writing it after getting dressed for tonight." She teared up as she thought about what it was about.

He saw the tears. "Sis is something wrong? I saw you tear up."

She wiped her eyes without messing up her mascara. "No it's fine. It's nothing to worry about."

He knew that it wasn't just nothing though. "Sis you wouldn't tear up just for nothing. Please tell us what's wrong. We want to be there for you."

She nods softly, looking down. "I-I was broken up with today..." small tears went down her cheeks. "He confessed to cheating and then broke up with me."

He gasped at that. "Omg sis I'm so sorry that happened to you. Is that what the song you were singing is about?"

She nods softly. "It is... I can't believe he did that though. He had said he loved me so much just 2 days before, and now this happens. I guess him saying this was a lie now."

He felt so bad hearing her say that. "I'm sorry sis. You'll find someone who will actually love you and not cheat on you. We will make him pay for doing that though, just saying. That's what siblings are for."

She giggled softly at that, shaking her head. "I'm sure you will make him pay. He deserves it."

They had to step out on the stage for the concert, and she quickly fixed her mascara. Luckily it was waterproof, so she didn't mess up her whole face of makeup and that she only had to fix up her mascara. Rydel did that for her though, which she was grateful for.

They soon were getting on stage, and they performed the night away despite everything that's been going on, both with Raquel or with everyone else. Despite how today was for her, Raquel was having a good time performing, and that's all that mattered.

Riker has talked to her about recording Repeating Days the next day while she was getting her mascara fixed up, which she said yes to. She wasn't done writing it, but whenever she was, she was more than ready to record it. She feels like that would be a good way to let out her feelings about everything that happened, and she was looking forward to it.
