Best Pig Ever

This takes place the day Jesse, Olivia, Axel, Petra and Lukas became the new Order of the Stone, and it's before and after the ceremony and after.

Jesse woke up feeling teary eyed again, and she sighed softly. It had been like this for a week now, and she thought she wouldn't be like that now, but clearly she was wrong.

You see, a week ago today, she and her friends had defeated the wither storm. You might think that that is amazing and that she should be happy they did it, and she is happy that they defeated it. But, one thing that was holding her down was what happened after she hit the command block for the final time, ending it all. The wither storm had killed her best friend.

Reuben, her pet pig, had gone in the wither storm with her, and while she fought it, she dropped her sword, which luckily he brought it back to her. As soon as he gave her back the sword though, the wither storm had grabbed him by the hind legs. After a moment it had let him go, and let's just say... he did not make it unfortunately. It has left Jesse and everyone in the friend group grieve-stricken, especially Jesse since she had known him the longest and was technically his owner. The past week had just been rough for everyone.

On top of mourning Reuben, they had been rebuilding the town they grew up in along with remaking the treehouse Jesse, Axel and Olivia lived in. They made the treehouse a lot bigger than the original, just so there was more space for all of them to live in. All 5 of them were going to live together from now on, which Jesse was really excited about. Sure she loved just living with Axel and Olivia, but with all 5 of them being together, it was going to be even more fun.

She got out of bed just as she heard a knock on her bedroom door. "Who is it?"

"Lukas," he says gently. "May I come in?"

"Of course, come in," Jesse said while going over to plan her outfit, although it would be her usual outfit that everyone knows her as.

She heard him come in and she turned around to face him once she was at her dresser. "What's going on Lukas? You rarely come in here."

He chuckled softly. "I just wanted to make sure you were doing okay this morning. I know this past week has been hard, so I wanted to check in."

Jesse teared up at that, looking down a little.

Lukas felt bad seeing that. "If you don't want to talk about it I won't blame you Jesse."

She shook her head. "No it's okay, I want to. Well, one thing is I woke up feeling teary eyed again. Nothing new about that though because it's been like that the past week." She saw Lukas's face turn a little sad hearing that and she teared up more. "I know it's normal because of what happened a week ago, but it's still really new to me, so I don't know what to expect."

Lukas nods solemnly, feeling bad. "I'm sorry Jesse. It is so normal to have that happen when grieving someone. Yes everything feels new, but it'll be okay in the end. It'll take time, and that's okay. Please take your time with it too Jesse. Sure you're the leader, but that doesn't mean that you have to hide emotions from us. Even bigger leaders than you have shown sadness and other big emotions, so there's no shame in showing them."

Jesse nods, sighing softly. "Thank you for the reassurance Lukas. All of you reassuring me that it's okay really helps me honestly. I know Reuben would be the same way if this wasn't about him."

He nods. "He definitely would be if he was here." He sighed softly. "I don't mean to be a downer Jesse, I just wanted to check in."

"You're fine Lukas, and thank you for that," Jesse said, smiling softly. Although, he could tell that, through her eyes, she was about to start crying again. That broke his heart.
