COAST - Luffy x Reader

CHAPTER THIRTEEN

I have a couple of things I'm debating... so help me out here.

I haven't seen any of the One Piece movies. That being said, would y'all want me to include them in this story, or strictly stay on the anime / manga plotline? I'm kind of torn with the movies because they have so much controversy with the whole cannon or not cannon thing.

Also, are there any ships people might be interested in seeing? I'm not entirely sure if I want to focus on other romances or not, but it might be fun to include some little things here and there; like Franky and Robin? That might be fun, idk lol.

And ofc, if there's anything specific you want to see, don't be afraid to comment. I like to hear your guys input and I have been planning scenes based on some of your suggestions/comments!

"Would you cut it out?! You're scaredy-jitters are spreading to me!" Usopp shrieks from my side, shivering as I tremble next to him.

"What are you so scared of, anyways?" Luffy cackles from ahead. I sulk and ignore him, looking at my feet instead.

Somehow I got stuck with him, Usopp, and Sanji instead of the rest of the crew, as I had initially planned. You see, after Luffy and I had our little argument, Nami pretty much immediately started another one with him about whether or not we should stay in Skypiea or go back to the blue sea. Now that we were wanted criminals (for higher than the fifth degree), it wasn't hard for the majority of the crew to decide that they wanted to leave; but before that could happen, Luffy wanted to take the leftovers from lunch earlier.

So, after some begging from Nami to go with him and change his mind, which I immediately refused with the intention of boarding the Going Merry; followed by Nami instructing Luffy to take me with him (against my will), I was left with no other option than to go along with his group instead. All the redhead did was stare at me with a fake-smile and false-apology:

"Sorry! You're probably the only one who can change his mind, though!"

Was she joking? She even said it herself that he barely pays attention to me as it is!

Nevertheless, Luffy dragged me all the way up to Conis and Pagaya's house, laughing and smiling the entire time as his stretchy arm was around my torso like a lasso. The tie felt like that of heavy iron, a comfortable buzz erupting from the contact that made me want to scream in frustration; the oddity of my negative emotions towards him combined with the positive emotions being forced due to our bond was jarring. I didn't say a word to him, and he didn't say a word to me... This meant that unfortunately for Nami, her plan wasn't going to work. I was steadily planning my revenge... Maybe by hiding her map charts sometime in the near future.

I wouldn't need to enact that revenge, though, since she unwillingly pulled the short end of the stick. As Luffy was stuffing his face, she and the rest of the crew on the Going Merry were attacked and sped away by a massive crustacean owned by Skypieas God. All we could do was watch as it happened, listening to Nami's begging and pleading to be saved. Our friends had been taken as hostages, meant as sacrifices for God on his forbidden island, Upper Yard. My revenge was forgotten, and it was time for a rescue mission; it was time to face Heaven's Judgement.

As Conis leads us through Lovely Street to deliver us to the Angel Island Docks in order for us to save our crew, I can't help but peer around at every strange face; every odd look we receive. My nerves are on fire, wondering if any of them might be the God that was out for our blood.

"Is it just me, or is everyone avoiding us?" Usopp peers around wearily, and the people he glances at back-off like they've encountered a leper.

"Can't blame 'em..." Sanji starts, "Word's probably already gotten around that we're wanted criminals."
