Rahhhh

Anyways, onto the chapter.

"Your blood pressure is fine, so is your temperature... Are you still feeling anxious or stressed at all?"

"Maybe a little bit." I responded to the adamant reindeer, who was holding a stethoscope against the skin of my arm where he could best hear my pulse. He had insisted on a check-up, noting how he should see how I'm adapting so far.

"But you're not feeling sick, right? No queasiness, no light-headed symptoms?" I would've thought I was dying from how bad the poor thing was sweating. Seems he was extra worked up today.

"No, I'm okay. I promise," I tried to appease him, tapping him on his little blue nose with a grin, "I would tell you if I felt otherwise, Dr. Chopper."

"Don't think by calling me a Doctor I'll let you off the hook, stupid!" He flushed a bit with an abashed grin, turning quickly and trudging toward his medical box to put away his tools. Then, he got serious again.

"But, you should really sleep more. It's not healthy to only get a few hours every night, y'know." He closed up his bag with a click, before hopping off the stool and coming in front of me again.

"I can give you some sleeping medicine, if you want? Just for a little while."

"I know, Chopper, but I can't help it. And I don't want to become dependent on sleeping medicine, either." I stood and stretched, all too aware of the strain behind my closed eyelids.

"Thank you, though. I'll come back to you if I change my mind."

"I understand." He said, sounding a little sorrowful that he failed to convince me, yet again. "And I hope so. Don't push yourself too hard, in the meantime. At least until you're on a regular sleeping schedule." He was stern now, and I held back a laugh.

"I'll try my best."

I turned to make my way to the door, Chopper's little hooves clopping against the wood behind me, catching my eye at the windowsill. A small vase held a couple of the white flowers which seemed to glow in the sunlight, and laid out next to them was a short line of the seashells I had taken on board, colors fading in the harsh light.

---

Nami and Robin were busy, both doing some reading on deck and looking extremely focused. I didn't want to interrupt, so I went to look for somebody else. Somebody who needed help with something, hopefully, so I could stay busy.

I didn't get very far. Climbing the steps to the front of the ship, my eyes were drawn first to the person laying on the figure head, limbs sprawled out around him and snoring. It was Luffy, who had apparently fallen asleep in his favorite sitting spot. I smiled a little at the sight, wondering how he managed to sleep in such weird positions, before catching movement to my left.

Usopp was tinkering away with a new project, I think. I could practically see the gears turning in his head as he reached for a tool, missed, and grunted to grab it again. I stood in my spot, debating on whether or not to bother him since he looked so busy, but he must've caught sight of me.

"Oh," He said, lifting his goggles to his forehead, "Hey, (Y/n). What's up?"

"Um, hey." I replied, "Sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt you."

"No, no, it's alright. I needed a little break anyways." He looked a little exasperated, tossing the object he had been tinkering with onto the deck, which crumbled into a few different pieces upon collision. He huffed out a pathetic sigh, and I felt a little bad for him.
