NOAH
As we entered the house all I was to lay down, but then again this evening is not going to end so easily, I took a step forward and took few minutes to see the living room of the apartment.
As my eyes slowly sweep across this breathtaking living space, a warm, hushed admiration takes root in your thoughts. The room feels alive — not just with its lighting and furnishings, but with soul. It's a sanctuary that speaks of taste, intellect, and deep affection for nature and storytelling.
I am immediately drawn to the soft amber glow that fills the room. The lighting is masterfully ambient — a balance between vintage charm and contemporary warmth. Strategically placed table lamps with creamy beige shades cast a diffused glow, while several candles flicker gently on the solid wood coffee table, exuding a honey-like radiance that dances on the polished surface.
The centerpiece of the living area is an elegant low-set walnut wood coffee table, broad and sturdy, adorned with neatly stacked books, a glass bottle with foliage, and delicately placed candles. Surrounding the table are plush, overstuffed white sectional sofas, soft as clouds. They're adorned with a careful scatter of neutral-toned throw pillows in earthy taupes, warm olives, and deep slate greys, creating visual depth and beckoning comfort.
Beneath your feet lies a rich, woven jute area rug — textured, grounding, and perfectly layered to offset the polished wooden floor. Every piece is in perfect harmony, thoughtfully placed but not forced — the kind of casual perfection that can only come from someone who truly lives here.
my heart lingers in the dining area, tucked behind the sofas. A classic mid-century modern wooden dining table sits under a warm pendant light, surrounded by matching chairs with gently curved backs. The table surface is home to more greenery, books, and personal touches — again, subtly perfect.
Every wall is a quiet story. There are framed art prints — some vintage landscapes, others abstract sketches — all in cohesive, muted tones. But it's the bookshelves that truly anchor the space. Lining two walls, they're filled to the brim with books — not just for show, but clearly read, loved, and organized with intention.
But if I go with the words of Aunt Laurie, Alyne has been here for just two weeks and for a six-month internship, did she brought her whole library here with her.
Wooden shelves rise like altars to the written word, intermixed with ceramic pots, small art pieces, and vines that spill downward with casual elegance.
Plants are tucked into nearly every corner — a towering Fiddle Leaf Fig, a dramatic Monstera Deliciosa, graceful trailing Pothos, a burgundy-tinged Rubber Plant, soft Boston Ferns, sculptural Snake Plants, and delicate Parlor Palms — all bringing breath and life into the space.
There's a harmony here that feels intentional but not rigid. This space doesn't shout. It murmurs gently. It says, "Stay awhile. Read. Breathe. Be."
Then I stepped forward and looked at the balcony ahead of me.
As I step out onto this balcony, I am momentarily suspended between two worlds — the serene cocoon of cozy, golden warmth behind you and the sprawling, glittering metropolis that stretches endlessly before me. A quiet sense of awe settles over me. It's perfect — effortlessly, intimately perfect.
The wooden floor beneath my feet is a soft, dark-stained slat deck, smooth and clean, grounding the space with earthy charm. Tucked into one corner is an L-shaped outdoor sofa with thin black metal legs and a firm, elegant wooden frame, topped with stone-gray tufted cushions so plush they invite you to sink in and lose hours to the skyline. Resting against them are pillows in soft neutrals, including one with a delicate geometric pattern, and a chunky knit throw blanket in warm oatmeal hues — casually draped yet artfully placed, waiting to wrap you in comfort.
