What to Expect When Expecting in an Omegaverse: Minsung

Acceptance Vs. Comfort.

Accepting an unexpected pregnancy and being comfortable with an unexpected pregnancy are, apparently, not interchangeable. Jisung has fully accepted that he is pregnant. That much is for certain. He's taking prenatal vitamins now. He admittedly should've been doing this as soon as he found out- but, in his defense, he did not think he'd actually be pregnant for much longer. He's also watching what he eats. Minho is also watching what Jisung eats, much to the younger's dismay.

Jisung thought that Felix worried over him too much, but Minho has his omega friend beat. The alpha seems to worry over Jisung more than Felix, but the way he shows it is strange. Whereas his bestfriend would gently suggest he does -or doesn't do- something, Minho all but silently demands his compliance. The older man doesn't force feed him, thankfully, but Jisung feels like he would if he could. He does, however, keep a watchful eye over Jisung when they're together and constantly checks in on him when they're not. They are together a lot now admittedly though.

It's like ever since Jisung decided to go through with the pregnancy Minho has become attached to his hip. Though, Jisung can't pretend that he doesn't seek the alpha out more often than he used to... he'd obviously never admit this if anyone brought it up. The weird part of all of this though; they don't even have sex. They simply just hang out, sit in each other's presence and talk. It's really strange. Jisung has spent the night at Minho's place more than he has his own in the past two weeks. If it's been fourteen days- he's spent ten of them with Minho.

Jisung doesn't want to admit it, but he really does feel himself getting attached to the alpha. The omega enjoys his presence and finds the way he smells extremely comforting. Sometimes he'll even find himself becoming anxious when he's not around Minho, especially when the older is dropping him off at his place and he knows he won't be around. He feels clingy and dependent- he hates it. He consistently tells himself that it's just his stupid omega hormones. They make him feel connected to Minho, because of... well, everything (i.e., the baby, his heat, the time they've spent together). He can't let himself fall into the thought pattern of thinking Minho is his.

"If they do the ultrasound and you see that the baby turned into a duck, what would you do?" Minho asks and Jisung can't help but roll his eyes at the absurd question. The omega is filling out his new patient form for the prenatal care provider that Minho helped him find to hopefully take care of him for the rest of his pregnancy.

"You've got some explaining to do then, because obviously, I'm not a duck, hyung." Jisung still answers the question even though he found it ridiculous.

"That sounds like something a duck pretending to be a person would say..." the alpha says with a playful smirk. Jisung shoots him a glare that makes Minho laugh.

"Han Jisung?" A nurse calls for him to come back to meet the doctor. On the way in, the same nurse asks him to take his shoes off and step on a scale. He announces, "169cm, 60kg" and writes that down on his clipboard. Jisung awkwardly looks back at Minho who'd been standing there watching. The alpha doesn't seem all that affected by the information, but Jisung's still embarrassed.

The nurse also asks Jisung for a urine sample, which he gives. Then he leads them into an exam room and gets a couple vials of blood and takes Jisung's blood pressure. He leaves them with the information that their doctor would be in shortly. Jisung is wildly uncomfortable at this point.

"This is why I only like going to my doctor. She's nice and unimposing" Jisung complains quietly and Minho looks up at with a hum. The alpha had taken a seat in the chair across from Jisung and was lower than the omega, who was on the exam bed.

"Should I be your doctor then? Where are the gloves? Spread your legs" Minho lightens the mood by pretending to look for the gloves to begin an "exam". Jisung laughs lightly and screws his legs shut.
