What to Expect When Expecting in an Omegaverse: Minsung

Karaoke.

South Korea has never been particularly warm during Jisung's lifetime. It's no surprise that the last few weeks of March are still a little chilly, but it is warming up and there's no more snow or ice. It's strangely convenient that the weather was at its most uncomfortable when Jisung was early in his pregnancy and felt the worse, because he wasn't going to go anywhere due to the weather even if he wasn't stupidly sick.

Now that it's warmer and he's at his most comfortable in his pregnancy, Jisung feels okay doing things with his friends again. He'd already started going out to eat with Felix again, and he doesn't strictly limit himself to places with accessible restrooms for vomiting. He's even accepted an invite out to karaoke.

It's Hyunjin's 25th birthday and Felix asked Jisung and Minho to come to celebrate it with them on a Friday. Luckily, Minho was off that day and Jisung gets off of work early enough that he could show up. He thought it would be super fun and refreshing too, but it turns out... his friends are either alcoholics or assholes that don't care that he can't drink.

"No, it's completely reasonable that you feel like your boss is neurotic! The client I'm commissioned for right now is sooo obsessive over every single little detail and micromanages everything I do! I can't even take a piss without him breathing down my neck to make sure I'm not "slacking off". Which, by the way, he doesn't pay me hourly and we're nowhere near the deadline, so I can take as long as I fucking want. He's psycho!" Hyunjin is complaining about his job to Minho after a few drinks.

They barely know each other but apparently all it takes is beer to make them bestfriends. Jeongin and Felix are also singing a pop song really loudly and obnoxiously, so not only are Minho and Hyunjin talking nonstop- but also loudly right next to Jisung. It's hard not to regret not remaining a recluse right about now.

"My Sous is just so fucking whiny! He will literally complain about the way I dice onions- that will be cooked and hidden beneath loads of other shit, so it really doesn't matter. He doesn't do it to anyone else, but he says he's "hard on me because he sees potential". I wish he'd get off my back, but I'm pretty sure he's gonna promote me to Sous Chef when he retires this year." Minho complains to Hyunjin right back. The beta is just nodding and looking at Minho with attention.

"Are you gonna go next, Sung?" Felix comes to sit next to Jisung once he's finished slaughtering that poor song. Jeongin is picking another song, this time with Seungmin to ruin it with.

"It looks like Seungmin and Jeongin-ah are already going." Jisung responds, and he's glad they are. He's in a shit mood now and doesn't feel like singing next.

"Innie's gone like five time tonight already, you can ask him to let you go once" Felix tells him, but the other omega just shakes his head. "You okay?" Felix leans in to ask Jisung.

"Yeah, I'm fine. I'm getting tired though. I think I want to go home" the pregnant omega responds and Felix nods with wide receptive eyes.

"Hyung," Felix is calling out to Minho, who was still engrossed in his conversation with Hyunjin. Jisung cringes as the omega reaches over him to tap the older alpha on his shoulder. Minho turns to them with a curious knit to his brow. "Hyung, Jisungie's tired." The brunette omega announces and Minho looks to Jisung for confirmation.

"Only a little..." Jisung responds sheepishly. He's mildly embarrassed that Felix is speaking for him, as it seems like he was afraid to tell Minho himself. He wasn't. He was just letting Hyunjin and Minho enjoy their conversation without interruption.

"Oh, do you want to leave now?" Minho asks and Jisung frowns with a shrug. "I need to drink some water and sober up a little bit before we go." The alpha says. Felix is waving Hyunjin over and tapping the open seat next him now that he's not talking to Minho. He wants him to sit on his side that Jisung isn't sitting on, and the beta obediently moves to sit next to his mate.
