Going Home.

Jisung thinks he likes being in the hospital. Sure, it's not great to have people coming and going constantly; it does get draining to never be able to be alone, but it's the cost for having professionals around to help and make sure he's doing things right. If he had to figure everything out on his own, he thinks he'd have a breakdown. It was easy to watch the videos and read the walkthroughs and advice forums, but actually doing those things for your child that depends on you -for everything, is scary and quite overwhelming.

It's been two days already and the volume of Minhee's cry still scares Jisung everytime. He's never met a pup that can cry so loudly- though he arguably hasn't met a ton of pups, but his point still stands that the girl can yell. Her lung capacity is impressive for someone that was breathing amniotic fluid only days ago. Maybe she'll be an opera singer or something?

"We need to get you out of bed, darling. Keep your body moving so you'll recover quicker." Minho's mom tells the omega as she moves to come to his bedside. She'd visited for the first time early in the morning with Minho's dad and they've been with them up until now, and it's already afternoon. Jisung's moms visited yesterday too, and they also stayed all day. He isn't surprised that they did, and he's not surprised that Minho's parents are either. It doesn't really bother him because he likes the help, but it is a bit tiring to have her pushing him to move so much.

"Ah, but I'm still sore, Eomeonim" Jisung responds to the woman as she waits for him to move to get up. He tries not to obviously stare at Minho for help, but his gaze does flick to the alpha briefly. The older man is standing with their daughter held against his chest; gently burping her after Jisung fed her and there's an unmistakable dreamy look in his eyes. He's looking down at her and she seems to be trying her best to look back at him too. They're in their own little world, so Jisung doesn't think the alpha will be helping him at the moment.

"You're in pain? Where's the call button? We'll call your nurse for pain medication, don't worry" Minho's mother hurries as she looks around for a button to call the nurse with. Jisung doesn't know what to say and flounders as he watches the woman search.

"Yeobo, Jisung-ah is tired. We've been here since visiting hours began, only Minhee-ya has gotten any rest today" An unlikely hero comes to Jisung's aid; Minho's father is defending him. The omega bites back a relieved smile as he turns to the older alpha man.

"It's 2PM! We've been here for only seven hours" Minho's mom argues, and the look her mate gives her in response has the beta woman sighing in defeat shortly after.

"We should leave now and let them have a nap while they can. You two will be fine, right?" The older alpha man suggests and Jisung nods as Minho gives his father an affirmative hum. "Then we'll be going. Are you ready, yeobo?" He turns to his mate in question.

"Yes, I guess that we should go..." the beta woman has a disappointed pout on her small mouth, but she surrenders.

Minho's parents gather their belongings and hug their son goodbye; his mother takes extra time to bid Minhee a careful farewell, petting her capped head with a sorrowful sigh. The beta woman's mate shakes his head with a chuckle before guiding his mate away from the newborn. She comes over to Jisung afterwards and kisses his cheek before reminding him to get some rest and to call her if he needs anything. The couple finally leave after drawn-out goodbyes and Jisung tries not to seem too relieved.

"I did not think they would stay that long" Minho chuckles as he continues to softly bounce their daughter in his arms. He has the newborn pup held against his chest with her chin resting on his shoulder and his hand supporting the back of her neck. Minho honestly doesn't seem like he can go very long without holding their baby. If Jisung isn't already holding her or feeding her, she's in the older's arms.
