What to Expect When Expecting in an Omegaverse: Minsung

They Were Roommates.

Kim Seungmin (10:42AM): Hey, will you be home at any point today? I wanted to talk to you about our living situation and would prefer to do it in person, if you don't mind.

The message from Jisung's long-time roommate leaves him with a sense of foreboding, to say the least. If what Seungmin wanted to say about them living together was good news, then he'd just say it through text, right? Jisung tries to prepare himself for bad news but he, admittedly, still doesn't take it well when his friend informs him of his decision to move out.

"I don't think I want to live with a newborn, so I've decided I'll be moving out before or shortly after the pup's born. I hope that doesn't offend you, Jisung-ah. We're still friends though, you know?" Seungmin explains his decision concisely, and it only helps to upset Jisung more. It's almost like the beta is so detached from how his decision will affect Jisung. It really hurts and makes the omega want to just explode at his friend.

"So you're gonna break our lease and leave me here to figure it out on my own?" Though Jisung does try to reign in his desire to lash out at Seungmin, it's hard to keep the frustration from bleeding into his tone.

"That's not what I'm saying I'm going to do. I'm not going to just walk out on our lease. We can work together to find someone else to take over my part of the rent, or you could move out too and find a place that fits your new budget. The latter sounds like the best option to me. You could even move in with that alpha... Minho, right? Since you guys will be spending more time together now and all." The beta reasons surely. Jisung has to literally close his eyes and take a breath to keep from yelling at his roommate- to tell him that he just doesn't get it! It takes a lot for him to keep it all in.

"That sounds like the best option- to you. I barely know Minho, let alone do I want to live with him! I have enough going on right now and finding a new roommate and, especially, finding an entire new place to live is not something I want to add to that, Seungmin. " Jisung retorts with irritation laced dripping from his tongue. "You know, this is such an asshole thing of you to do, man. I'm not even trying to be a dick, but you're really fucking me over right now" he can't help but let an inkling of his frustration out with this comment.

"I'm trying to have a respectful adult discussion with you, and you're taking it the wrong way. I'm not doing anything to you. Babies take up a lot of space, Jisung-ah, whether they try to or not. They take over any home they come into. There will be less space, more noise, and more mess." Seungmin explains and this makes Jisung groan with a roll of his eyes.

"Do you think I'm not aware? I'm gonna stay on top of it, and it's not like I'm expecting you to take care of my kid or something. Is it really that hard to just continue your life as is?" The frustration in Jisung's tone has now morphed into flew blown anger. His tone starts to raise a little and Seungmin starts to look uncomfortable- as he does anytime he's confronted with big emotions. Asshole.

"It's not just that- Also, if you can't even stay on top of cleaning up after just yourself, why do you think you'll stay on top of that and taking care of a pup? That doesn't-" Jisung is immediately trying to cut the beta off after the offensive comment, but Seungmin is already talking over him before he can stop him. "Living with a newborn does not fit into my lifestyle. You can't make me feel bad for that. I signed a rental agreement under the terms that I would be living with you, and only you. I'm not being an asshole because I don't want that to change."

"You ARE being an asshole! A massive one, actually! You're so fucking selfish. How the fuck is my kid going to fuck up your "lifestyle" so bad? What's your fucking lifestyle anyways? Work and school? Come on-" Jisung couldn't wait for Seungmin to finish his sentence so he could bite back. At this point, most of the "respectful" in a "respectful adult discussion" has flown out of the window.
