What to Expect When Expecting in an Omegaverse: Minsung

Department Store Run-In.

It takes five days for Minho's rut to end. Which is insanely long in Jisung's opinion, and longer than Minho was used to as well. The omega has decided he never wants to take a knot again in his life because of this. His asshole is sore and completely raw, even his nipples are chapped. His nest is also ruined, which is disappointing.

Minho is stripping the sheets from his bed as Jisung sits on the floor eating the kimchi fried rice the alpha just made. It's the first real meal he's had in a week since Minho just wasn't going to be doing much cooking while in fuck machine mode- which is what Jisung has taken to calling his rut now- and the omega is hopeless in a kitchen. If there was an expectation for Jisung to cook for them at all during that time, it certainly wasn't met.

"You should eat too, hyung" Jisung reminds the alpha with his mouth full of rice. He honestly forgot how good Minho's cooking was until now and he thinks he could demolish the entire pot of rice if Minho doesn't stop him.

"I will. I'm just going to straighten up first. If I don't do it now I'll end up getting busy and putting it off." Minho replies and he glances at the pregnant omega sitting cross-legged on his floor. The younger's cheeks are round with rice and he resembles a dumpling, or maybe a squirrel. It makes Minho chuckle, "Is it good, Jisung-ah?"

"Yeah, it's good" the younger man replies with his attention divided between his phone and food. He doesn't take notice of the look of fondness written all over the older man's face.

"That's good" the alpha nods, "Are you feeling okay?" He checks in on the younger carefully, who puts his phone down to look up at the alpha.

"Other than my ass feeling like it's been torn in two? I'm fine." Jisung replies before he scrapes the last of his fried rice into his mouth.

"Well, you were the one begging for my knot" Minho smirks with a shake of his head. Jisung glares in response. "Sorry, Sung. Maybe you could put ice on it?" The alpha offers, but Jisung just rolls his eyes dismissively.

"It's okay. It'll go away in a day or so. I'll probably soak in a warm bath too" Jisung replies as he watches Minho push his sheets down into his laundry basket along with their discarded clothes. "Porn really doesn't give an accurate representation of rut though" he adds thoughtfully.

"Yeah, but it's not like it's made for realism's sake. It's just porn. You never noticed they don't include omegas popping Tylenols like candy when they're in "heat", right?" Minho laughs and Jisung hums.

"That's true. I guess it only shows the sexy parts..." the younger replies before getting distracted by his phone again. Minho lifts his laundry hamper with the soiled sheets and their clothes, moving to take them to be washed.

"Oh, Sung?" Minho calls for the younger's attention and Jisung looks up at him. "Your nest was really nice. You can do that more if you want. I really liked it." The alpha stops to compliment Jisung and the younger feels his ears begin to burn with a blush.

"...Thank you" the omega shyly responds and Minho smiles softly before leaving the room. Jisung's embarrassed such a small comment would make him behave so timidly.

Any other time he feels like an inadequate excuse for an omega. Everyone wants the docile and nurturing omega. They say it will come naturally to them to take care of the home and smile coyly when complimented, stupid things like that. That doesn't come naturally to Jisung, and he doesn't want to do or be anything that doesn't feel like him. Even if he knows he doesn't strive to be any of those things... it still feels nice when Minho acknowledges it when he does try.
